Buffy's observation of Spike playing guitar was sensuous and romantic, and I loved their outrageous flirting. The ebb and flow of emotions in this chapter was wonderfully relayed with your descriptive language, building the UST to a breaking point and then releasing it with that delightful turnabout on the stairs. I get caught up in the pacing of this story, pulling for their relationship to move forward. Thanks for the kiss, an Buffy's excited, girlish squeal was charming.

This chapter painted a lovely portrait of the strong bond of love and friendship between Buffy and Willow. The last line tempered the weight of their heartfelt conversation beautifully and it made me laugh.

Heh heh.. Buffy can stop her denial; Willow was too smart. She noticed Buffy being attracted to Spike.
Loved Willow's arguments to convince Buffy to give love a chance.

And that is exactly how death of a loved one is. one thing i have noticed while reading is that you dont start sentences with the same word often, which is good. and for an internet story this is written mighty well. obviously for a book im sure you would put much more detail into it, but since youre dealing with peoples short attention spans while online, i would say the detail level and chapter length is right.

As regards your latest chapter...oh my! Yet again you have portrayed the emotions so vividly that I find myself to be quite weepy. Then, in sublime contrast to the gravity of the previous scene, the one-word ending is perfect. "Bugger". So very Spike!

I was delighted to see updates for this wonderful, atmospheric story. The attraction and friendship between Spike and Buffy is a joy to read, and I'm really enjoying the details in the farm work and landscape. Buffy's emotional vulnerability in the last two chapters were lovingly detailed, as was Spike's instinctual response. I'm looking forward to more of this.
