i really don't like this spike. i never thought i could hate him this much before, but your story makes it so easy. i am glad to see you writing again, but i really hope spike isn't as bad as he seems. i don't really see him as getting redeemed at all in this one, but maybe you weren't planning for that to happen. i'll be anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

Just ran across this fic and had to read it straight through. Love the dialogue. You have the voice of the characters down pat. Love that Spike is dangerous and Buffy just a bit bewildered at what she's feeling. So much fun! Please update!

Okay, sounds like Spike knows something Buffy doesn't. Now that Spike has laid the ground rules, hope that Buffy breaks them to show that she can be unpredictable and a challenge. Good chapter!

Willow comparing Spike to a big cat playing with its foot? It hit the nail (right) on the head :) I saw this episode recently, that helps to 'see' it better (like how Owen did look like). :) Hey, I love this Spike. *ramble* And do you know what is starting to irk me? Cowardices. If someone says he don't like a story, why can't they write their name, huh? Saying something but not staying behind it. I saw if before, but slowly it is starting to irk me. *end ramble* I'm looking forward to more because I love this story. *nods*

Where have I been? How did I miss this? *shakes head in disbelief* Still, I've just sat down and read all eight chapters, and I'm impressed.

I like the dark undercurrent you have going with Spike, here. It contrasts beautifully with the growing UST between Spike and Buffy. The balance of power is definitely on the Spike's side, yet Buffy's not going to crumble under the pressure, is she. Bemoan her lot, yes. Moan at the impotence of her Watcher, assuredly YES. Even challenge her own sanity... but she doesn't give in.

I found her interaction with Angel... interesting. No blind infatuation on her side, but a clear gesture of interest on Angel's side with the donation of his jacket to keep her warm... Nope, methinks all of the magnetism is assuredly eminating from the Bleached Wonder!

Novel twist on canon. Love it. Happy Easter!

okay, i'm not liking this. is spike always going to be such a jerk? i'm really hating him in this story. i may just decide to read one more chapter before calling it quits, because i can't stand to see him treating buffy like that. i do like your stories and i'm not trying to be mean, but sometimes you're a bit too into the angst. i think i need to find something nicer.

I am really enjoying this fic so far. Love the more assertive/cocky Spike and the plot twist provides for some interesting possiblities. Can't wait to see what happens at 1630 Revello and/or the Bronze.

What a kick-ass story! I love the way you're developing the characters and plot. The passion between Spike and Buffy is already about to explode even though at this point it's all about negative emotions. Somewhere inside them we can see this attraction they have for each other that neither of them will be able to fight. Please update soon. I can't wait to see how Spike reacts when he sees Buffy with Owen at the Bronze (hint, hint). More Spuffy, please?
