Good chapters. I am glad that Xander was caught.
I am also glad that Buffy told Spike that she loved him.
You did a great job of showing Buffyt's epiphany regarding her feelings for Spike. I can't wait to read what Anya is going to show Xander.

Oh dear, oh dear... just what is Anya going to show Xander now? For a moment there, I thought he was going to find Warren in his appartment!

I got a little confused about the terrible thing(s) done to Spike by Warren that Spike was so ashamed of... but I think that's more to do with a lot of other fics I've read where Spike's (had)done practically everything that there's nothing I could imagine that terrible. In this story's circumstance, ambiguity, leaving the detail to the readers own imagination is a clever solution...

So glad though that they've gotten over that hurdle. Now we sit back and see the effects of the vengeance wish - does the wish include Warren?

I was actually yelling "Dawn come home!" at my monitor. What a bullying rat bastard Xander was! At least Buffy was able to see the real him I hope that one day Anya doesn't let him shame her anymore too. Great chapter!

Oh dear... I'm really, really not liking where I think this is going. I feel like this is about to veer away from what I call 'light' angst into something much more dark and cruel, a place I don't like going to very often and somewhere I try to avoid.

I think you did such a great job in early chapters helping the reader to visualise the horrors inflicted upon Spike, it's almost too scary to feel that you're about to take us back there through the actions of a Scoobie. I'm torn... should I read the next chapter(s) or should I skip a few? I might wait and see what the next chapter reviewers are saying... scardy cat that I am.

Great writing... got me spooked *shivvers*

Author's Response: don't worry...its bad but not as bad as you're thinking really...and this next chapter is actually quite important...you might not want to actually skip :)

I knew it! Dawn's a very determined and passionte ex-key, isn't she? Poor, poor Spike. So broken, so ashamed of himself, so doesn't need the burden of a vengeance wish... whether wished by him or Dawn... I see only bad things ahead.

Oh my gosh... right up until the end I thought it was going to be Dawn! It never entered my head that Spike would have, even subconsiously, yearn for vengeance...

The way you write Spikes broken state, the way the scene slows right down to keep pace with his halting movements is very clever. As Dawn held him and helped him downstairs I felt myself bend with them.
