Mmm-hmmm...I still don't believe Angel, no. He seemed too weak too and then he was strong again. And Giles? I fear that I won't like it what he wants from Spike, the certain level of...sacrifice. Though I can't only think of taking Faith memories of Spike bollixing it up. Well, we'll see what it was.

What an excellent chapter!

The Spike and Giles scene is one of the very best I've read in a fanfic - although I caveat that praise by admitting that I do only read Spuffy stuff and so there may be another Giles-sympathetic writer out in the ether who is as good if not better. You captured him as the intelligent, reserved by very street-smart man that he should always have been seen as - Giles character was sidelined in Seasons 6&7... due to the changing relationship with he and Buffy, no doubt, but I think also due to the fact that ASH made it known he really wanted time back home with his family in the UK... but the character had great potential, and in this story you've captured all of that potential and value and wrapped it up beautifully in one short, succinct scene. Great.

I'm loving the Angel or is it Angelus vibe too. And, predictable as ever Buffy yet again waivers in her resolve. She seldon follows through with her first instinct, does she? So anyone with the slightest hint of an ulterior motive who knows her well enough can play on that... 'Hello, Angelus!'

This chapter has ramped up the excitement. Thanks for a great start to my day, pet.

Man, the twists in this are something else. I really hope there will be some more Spuffy lovin' before anyone is at risk again. This Angel thing is nicely confusing... Thanks for a fine update.

Hmm, I'm starting to think that Angel's personality is fractured? He's both Angel, and Angelus, since he was in hell so long, and it made him totally insane? Joyce had puncture wounds from somebody. What really happened that night is still a mystery....

Loving Giles here. I'm glad he stripped Willow's powers, not just restrained her. She really needs to get past the anger stage of her grief. I imagine Giles will want her to go to the Coven when this is all done for healing, unless her ability to do magic is permanently gone.
Spike definitely has an interesting conversation coming, but at least with her powerless, he can just pick her up and put her in her room, maybe knock her out again, since Giles is busy with Buffy.

Here's what I think...Angelus AND Giles are both working with Faith.. I'm really suspicious of Giles now...he's definately acting odd. As I said in the last review, he may be trying to lure Spike into helping with the ceremony..But WHY? What would Giles have to gain from working with Faith? LOL I sound like Sherlock Holmes...

Great update..and YOU are a MASTER at keeping us guessing : D

Oh.. Angel didn't need an invitation Mmmmmh-hmmmm. ~ Spike would have noticed if Faith had Angel around. Well Buffy noticed at last... even if she has a blind eye for Willow. (She can't believe that she changed that much). ~ Giles was the saviour? Wonder if he knows more? Speaking to Spike... and Buffy is alone with Angel: I hope you'll update soon!

Got all caught up on this one today, brilliant stuff, so suspenseful, I keep think Giles is Faiths helper, then Angel, then Giles again.

And thank God Buffy is actually using her brain and realized Angel shouldn't have had an invitation. They need to get down there fast before she's suddenly facing off with Angelus.

I just don't know what to think!! Ok..I'm glad that Giles stopped WIllow in time..but I'm still suspicious of him..Could he be working with Faith..luring Spike to a ceremony? or Is Angel the one working with Faith all along? * I'm leaning toward this*

Glad that Buffy realized that Angel was able to get into the house without an invite..He's got to be the one that killed Joyce. Right?

Oh that is bad... very bad. Buffy believes Willow. Well she "played it down" what she did to Spike... so Buffy underestimate what she did. And now Angel looking for help is on Buffy's doorstep? I fear she'll invite him in... I still think he's the one that works with Faith... and therefore probably killed Joyce.
