Oh hon..That was a beautiful chapter. The subject matter of course was not what was beautiful about it..It was the pure raw emotion between Buffy and Spike. Also Buffy's determination to show Spike that he was safe in her love no matter what.. So sad, and so beautiful..

What a nightmare! Poor Spike going through the trauma of feeling rejected and ridiculed in his haunting dreams. Hopefully, Spike will open up and tell Buffy what her role in the dream was so that he can put that behind him. Good chapter!

Oh yeah.. that night is a 'black night' for all the vamps. So all should be okay.... but it isn't. Giles betrayal, Willow. And Spike *sigh* he has a lot to work trough. Would he be a human everyone would say go and speak to a counselor. And now the has different kinds of a nightmare: Buffy not helping him. *sigh* Really not good. The have to talk.

You have a real knack for putting Spike through the ringer....

I think I might have to find a slave Buffy story soon, just for relief from some of the stories out there lately.

Loved that talk with Xander...he's really grown up, and it's good that Buffy is being as honest as she feels she can be at the moment. Her talk with Giles and Willow in the morning will not be nearly so easy.

I wonder if time will be enough for Spike to heal from what happened to him. Will he and Buffy be able to work though it together? I really hope so. BTW...Where is Willow? I wonder if she is still out cold..and is she angry with Xander?

Great chapter but I have to make you a question. I have read all your stories and I wonder why do you have a fixation with a weak Spike? Why not buffy? Hey don't get me wrong, I love your fiction but all the stories have the same plot

Author's Response: I just have a thing for hurt/comfort, mainly, and a fixation with *Spike* in general...most of my stories deal with emotional/physical abuse and recovery b/c it's something that is a large factor for me personally, and it shows up in my writing....i'm sorry you think they all tend to have the same plot, though...actually aside from the Spike hurt/comfort angle, they dont have much in common that i can see....and "The Right Thing" isn't even hurt/comfort! oh well... :) hope i sort of answered your question instead of just rambling :) thanx for review :)

Oh nice! No letting Giles or Willow get away with their belief in their right to unilaterally decide on what's best for those around them and NO bigoted Xander - yaaay! I sooo liked Xanders character early on in BtVS but they made him into an ignorant buffoon with no capacity for growth. Thank you for not doing the same with him here.

I will be glad when Buffy and Spike clear the air. After everything they have been through, it's time to be happy.
Looks like Buffy is putting her foot down...I say yay to that!
