Not exactly true what Buffy told Spike. That nothing could dust her when she wears the ring. She did dust Cecily after all or did I miss something? Excellent chapter though and excellent story too.

Wow..You answered every complaint I had about the way Wood and Spike acted toward Buffy at that crutial moment.. Yay..Giles for being the "Dad" that Buffy needs..and loving her unconditionally. BTW what happened to WOOD?

This was your finest chapter yet. It described Buffy's going into the sun so eloquently that it actually brought tears to my hormone soaked brain.lol When reading this story from the first chapter,..I just keep finding myself longing for Spike, Wood and this version of the Scooby Gang..to understand how good, noble, and what a fine Slayer Buffy was. Anyway.. This deserved a long post.
Bravo.

Thanks for the fluffy chapter. At the begin (truth between Wood and Giles) I thought well Wood can still learn from Giles. But now he's gone? Wonder what that means.

Maybe I'm bad but I don't feel sorrow for Cecily. She knew what could happen when going outside after dark. And she wasn't nice to Buffy. ;-) But look what she brought her: Freedom to walk in the sunlight *gg* The Gem. I don't think she intended for Buffy to have it ;-)

Like DaniD I'm quite frustrated by Spike's behaviour. I understand that Wood is still a little bit reluctant to trust Buffy, but Spike? Buffy fought against Dru to safe his skinny ass (and to proof a point...;-))!
The Gem of Amara for Buffy. Neat.

Wow..I am just floored by the ungratefulness of Wood..and the fact that Spike didn't defend her..hmmff !! Then to top it all off..When she declared Cecily was a vampire..THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE HER! I love Spuffyness..but come on Spike..get a clue..BUFFY IS A GOOD GUY !

Ok..that's out of my system..*taking a deep cleansing breath* lol Could what Buffy is holding be some type of GEM?? Just taking a wild guess..
