Excellent chapter!. Glad to see Giles has seen the ethical questions and is willing to try to find a way to work this out. I can hardly wait to see how he does it. Thank you for a super fine update.

It was nice to see Spike back to his Spikeness even though it was brief. He was always so confident and headstrong on the show and before the story. Its very sad to see him this way. I'm glad that Buffy came to the conclusion that she needs Spike. And I do feel sorry for her. She should feel guilty for what she has done to Spike, but he wasn't completely Spike when she got him. That was years of conditioning, some even before the idea of demon slavery took hold. But I have to admit that I really want her to answer that question. Very evil for stopping there by the way. ; ) Can't wait for more.

That's the question of the hour now isn't it? It's a very good one at that. Good chapter, glad to see that Spike still has a tiny bit of his old self left, even if it only shows around other vampires. There's still hope left it seems. Looking forward to part two! =)

Another awesome chapter. I just wish it was longer! I keep wanting more. It will be interesting to see how Spike starts reacting to everybody has he gets more comfortable. I can't wait to see more changes in Buffy and I can't wait until everybody else acknowledges those changes.

Aha! The plot thickens; I had a feeling that Giles was a little more interested in Buffy then being her Watcher!

You know, I always got a little tired of everyone elses sanctimonious treatment of Buffy. It's as if she had to just fall in line with whatever 'they' wanted for her.

Xander wanted her, well then he decided Riley should have her. I always felt that Giles was a little in love with her.
It was as if Buffy couldn't decide for herself who she wanted to love???

Anyway, I don't like Giles in this chapter. Not because he's jealous (which I feel he is; he knows exactly what Buffy wants Spike for). I just feel that he should quit being so damned self-righteous; he has vampire slaves, after all.

As for Tara? Well, I adore her, always, but she's beginning to wear on my nerves also. That's a whole different story, however.

Well, that conversation is going to be brutally honest. Buffy's only defense is that Spike's previous owners had changed him a lot already. Her actiona certainly haven't helped, except for the kindness she's FINALLY really showing. She and Giles need to come together as a team to rebuild Spike to what he was, for he won't immediately be comfortable with just Giles' efforts. Still, there should be a certain - handing over - for it will take a lot of work before he and Buffy can have a healthy relationship, if that is even meant to be.

Prepare to confess all your sins, Buff.

Thank you for another excellent update. Why am I having the feeling that these two are about to be separated? That really bothers me...

Sorry I haven't reviewed in a bit, life has been crazy. But I just caught up, and I'm still enjoying this story. Keep it up. =)

I actually feel very bad for Buffy. I'm not sure what the other readers feel about the whole thing, but I think you have done an excellent job of making Buffy well-rounded, right in the grey. She did do bad stuff, she did hurt Spike but I think you've done a great job in explaining all of her actions. She did them because of the abuse and the hurt that she has gone through. I also think that Giles is partially responsible for her attitude towards vampires and I hope that he realizes it. It's because of the Watchers and what he taught her that she always had such a black and white outlook on the issue. If there was no Giles, who knows what would have happened. Beautiful beautiful chapter. Hard rode, but they've made such good steps. Can't wait for the next one.

Awe, Spike is trying to help Buffy because she gets nervous! And yeah, he's right: Willow was good too; Buffy worried in vain. Oh, and this time too. Giles was good too. (Sorry, it's too late today and I don't find the right words). Looking forward to read on, to get to know more about the plans.

Wonderful reunion. Giles needs to take Spike for awhile and let him hang out with "his" vampires. Maybe he'll get his rocks back.
