Grr to Velvet; she still tries to interfere because she isn't happy for what (where) she is. It seemed first that Spike was able to 'reach' Buffy. But it will take time. Looking forward to the answer of Spike's question.

I liked the ending of this chapter. I hope she'll start trusting him eventually. Though I can see why she'd be reluctant to trust him after what she heard him say to that other slave girl. That's just such a Spike thing to do. He's really good at putting his foot in his mouth, isn't he?

well, yeah.... buffy seems to be a little more her old self near spike... i like that he'll become her personal attendance... there will be more interaction between them! and i wouln't mind some comfort sex... they both seems to need it!

well... the power game didn't ended as buffy had planned. But i think it's totally in character with buffy's personality. I can't see her lower herself at riley's level. And then, when you are abused it's a common thing to take your frustrations on someone weaker than you... but she didn't, and that's seems to me the first sign that her inner strengh is coming back
PS i wouldn't mind another scene with "a thin, hard leather riding crop"... maybe involving riley? please?

good story. such a horrible concept, slavery is for any sentient being. i hope biffy can keep riley away from spike, but i know that is not going to happen. hey, maybe there will be a civil rights movement for chipped vampites. he he.
