what the hell is her problem? it was just a stupid dance, nothing to get jealous over. it's not like he was kissing her and she was probably just a friend like willow said, or maybe even a relative. i really hate when people just jump to conclusions like that instead of finding out the truth. sorry, buffy really annoyed me in this chapter. i hope she comes to her senses soon and listens to him, or she'll really regret it if he does find someone else because of her brush off.

I realize that Buffy has never "dated" before and is new to relationships, but spike owns a business, so of course he's going to have to deal with both men and women. kind of presumptuous for buffy to just blow him off. obviously he is interested or he wouldn't have repeatedly called, or come over to see her. she's a bit immature for 24, i think, even if she's never had a relationship. spike is better off without her.

I liked this chapter..At first I was bit annoyed that Spike seemed so busy..cause' I kinda would like to see Buffy get the star treatment..*ya know..guy is falling all over himself to spend time with her* but now I feel sorry for him. The flowers were nice..and I think Buffy jumped to conclusions way to easy..

I feel like you mention how there's no pressure on his side a little too often and obviously. He's a man, he has his desires, and his reputation. Overall, I think this is a great story, but try to more subtly incorporate the no pressure aspect of the relationship. Show, don't tell, something an english teacher of mine said a lot.

Good story, but be careful in making Buffy almost too virginal. I think she would know someone was kissing her. :-) Other than that little note, I would say that this is an amazinf fic. I still cannot believe that this is your first fic. Yay for a fic writer that can mingle plot and character development in their first fic! Not all are that capable, I'm sad to say. I hope that doesn't sound snobby, but I've been a reader for a long time and there is most def a trend- sorry, I digress. Yay for the goodness that is this fic- take that much away from this very late night rant.

you're doing just great. That was so sweet. Timing is good. With Buffy's shyness, it wouldn't be realistic to get them in the sack right away. JUst my opinion.
