hey, am really liking the story so far, though think you're being far too soft on Buffy as she's technically been committing adultery since she's been with lindsey. this could be an issue you want to cover. will will file for divorce siting her adultery as the grounds or will he go easy on her and just list 'irreconcilable differences'.

Poor William, as if he needed Buffy to think he'd been cheating on her, too. Although in the end it could actually work out for him. Jealousy is a very powerful motivator. ;) Can't wait for more.

LOL..This is one hell of a mess you are creating Beasleysmom!! Now when the heck is it gonna' get better??!! haha

I just know Buffy is going to take some heat for this chapter..with her jealousy.. yada yada yada.. But guess what folks..this is human nature..and it aint pretty. Personally I love to see her jealousy, cause she is finally understanding what she has lost.

THEY made some pretty big mistakes when they were younger..but one thing is becoming obvious to me..These two DO belong together. If you don't fall out of love with someone after EIGHT YEARS of being seperated then you definately got something worth fighting for..and they definately both still love one anotehr..SO come on Buffy...START FIGHTING..!!

even if spike was seeing dru, how could buffy get mad because of it. she did the same thing with lindsey. forgive me for saying this but buffy was a bit of a bitch in this chapter. love her to death but hopefully she can get her act together soon. everything does not revolve around BUFFY loved it though. great job. keep up the great work.

As always, great chapter.....and it never is easy. 4 years with Wiliam......5 years with Lindsey....good thing dating doesn't have a seniority rating......Lindsey's a head by 1.......So nasty of Buffy to assume that Dru is there for somthing other than business.......could be she's there going over the divorce papers.....not everyone has someone else like she does, did, or has waiting for her.....hmmmm. I think Joyce has the right idea.......start over....for this marriage has not been a marriage for 8 years....and neither felt strong enough to fight for it.....only one felt enough to keep the promise of it, and one thought nothing of it when they started a 5 years intimate relationship with someone else while still in the marriage.........so yeah, things need to be worked out.....and for once I agree with Dru, how rude, LOL.......

I haven't been reviewing because..well because I suck like that sometimes, but it in no way means I don't like your fic because I really, really do. It's kind of like a lot of other stories but then completely not because of how you've combined all the elements (I mean that as a compliment even if it maybe sounded funny).

I hope you're having fun writing this fic because I'm having a lot of fun reading it...even if the angstiness is not so much fun ;-) Hope you can update soon.

i repeat, I hate Drusilla. She did that on purpose and for no other reason then to cause more problems.

i'm going to be honest with you, I'm fed up with Spike and Buffy in this story. I'm sorry, but I am.

oh, I'll keep reading it, of course, it's a wonderful story. I'm just sick of the both of them, maybe Buffy more then Spike, but still.

Considering the time: That's right; Buffy and Spike are longer separated then she were together. At last one of them seemed to have forgotten their time together easily enough to move on. Well Joyce said it not me this time. (BTW: buy / by). Buffy just had to call when Dru would answer the phone, huh? I wonder what Spike will do now - calling back? I'm not sure Buffy still has the courage to tell William she loved him (if she ever intended to do it in the first place.) Till next time!

Just started this story and I'm pretty intrigued.

One thing. Kennedy. There is no way a 7 y.o. sounds like that. She sounds at least 10 or 11. I know it's a technicality abd she's not a main character, but i found it terribly distracting throughout this whole chapter.

I sure had a good chuckle reading these review. I quote, "Do not listen to Kimber". Hee, hee.

One thing that jumps out at me after reading the story and the reviews is that many are very frustrated with Buffy for not knowing what she wants. I get that, but having been in that situation, as I think most human beings find themselves at least once in their lives, I am also empathetic toward Buffy. I understand how it feels to be critisized for reacting and acting ways that others don't agree with, either because it isn't how they THINK they would react if put in the same situation, or simply that they haven't experienced a similar situation at all.

Buffy and Spike seem to be at similar points, IMO. They have both avoided and now that they are facing each other, the wound is as fresh as if they parted yesterday. There is no point in examining the "what ifs". What is important is how each handles the situation from the present onward.

I do agree that Buffy's break with Lindsey isn't a true break-up. I do not agree that Angel lied to Spike and told them they were broken up. All he said was that they aren't together right now. Leaving a few things out, yeh, but no biggie in my book. This is Angel's way of kindly manipulating the situation. And I do love him for it. I agree with other's sentiments that this Angel is quite agreeable, charming, and funny.

So, they're going through with the divorce, huh. Well, it does seem best especially after reading about their atrocious "wedding". Now they have a chance to do things right (not that I have a problem with having Elvis as a withness).

Good flashback, makes sense with everything that is happening in the present, while they were together for a couple of years?, they defintly jumped head first into marriage without a care for anything else, and has fast as they jumped into it, they jumped out.

I think it's good she told Lindsay how she truely felt, but this whole break thing is a bit of bull. What the hell does she want? It used to be her career, but now she has that, so what the hell does she want now? That is the million dollar question because at this point she doesen't even know. It seems so far, she wants to be with Will, but she wants Will to make all the moves, and while that seems to be their M.O in the past, it won't fly this time because too much has gone on....such as a seperation for 8 years. lol. When he finds out how serious her and Lindsay were, he may not be as inclined as previously hinted to get back with her.

At this point there has been too much hurt on both sides and there is only one out come that will ring the most true. And I do believe that is them going through with the divorce. Doesen't mean it's the end of them, but it will be the end of their married life, or what life was left in it.
