God I hope Buffy Kicks Lindsey's ass! How dare he try and claim Spike's buffy!! Through-out this whole story I have just wanted to give Spike and Buffy both a smack upside the head and knock some sense into them! I hope they come to their senses soon!?! But I love the fic so far and i can't wait for the next update!!

Wow! I think you characterized Drusilla wonderfully. This was such an intense chapter and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen with Lindsey when Buffy confronts him.

I'm sticking with this mainly because I have a perverse sense of riteousness that wants to get to the end and say... 'Told you so, Chrissie... these two people aren't nice at all, they're shallow and weak and not the sort of man or woman I'd ever want my children to get involved with.'

Neither of them seem to have any moral fibre, or maybe they don't consider fidelity to the love of their life a worthy enough stance? If you truly, absolutely know that you love someone above all other you do not betray that love by finding comfort in shagging someone else. Nor do you torture the other person. If you truly love someone, you love them above your own self.

Buffy has been with Lindsay for five years... that is NOT a comfort shag and, as far as Lindsay is concerned, neither is it a light relationship... he seems to think they are in a serious relationship. Buffy must have given him reasons to believe that... that makes her shallow in my book.

Spike too seems shallow now that I've read this chapter. He's driving away from Buffy, the woman he professes to love more than anyone else in the world and the first thing that pops into his head that will make him feel better is to call Dru and arrange to shag her... and from the way he's familiar with her number and the intimate familiarity with which they conversed, this liaison will not be the first.

Both of them... if they'd truly loved each other that much would not have left it five years to try to reconcile. They just wouldn't. Couldn't.

You're a fine writer, pet to have triggered this sort of emotional reaction to a story... but I'm finding it hard to put much credibility on this Love thing. My concept of true love is way different from your, I fear...

I reiterate though, you do write well. There's a good balance between narrative and dialogue, and with the Spike/Dru dialogue at the end you really captured their characters superbly.

Definitely not down on Dru. Sounds like he could use
a little TLC from an old friend.
