Aww :). I wonder what it'll be like when they wake up together. Great chapter. My feelings about Spike are really mixed at the moment; I feel so sorry for him, yet it's all his own fault. And getting incredibly drunk wasn't going to help much. Anyway, I like the way this turned out. Buffy is way more patient than I would ever be, LOL. Keep up the good work.

Ah, the dance of the codependent...I used to know that one too well. Though really nice to see Spike's vulnerability, and I like how you portray Buff as still being cautious. Well done.

First, sorry I have been horrible about reviewing this fic, despite the fact that it is a favorite:) I love how REAL these characters are, flawed & confused, jealous & insecure. Can't wait to see if/how Buffy is able to nurse Spike's wounded heart.

Also, any "Believe in Me" in on the horizon? Just curious;)

Really like the story. Very well written. Read your note on the last chapter about how people are taking the story too literally. As if it was really based on James' life. It amazes me sometimes how some people can't separate reality and fantasy. For crying out loud it's a story and anyone who knows anything about James should know that.

Anyway love the story. Keep the chapters coming.

Boy, is he going to have a hell of a hangover.

There are no walls up when he's that drunk. He was too depressed when he started. People do things they don't mean when they're sloshed, but usually say exactly what they mean. She's seeing the full William tonight.

Grrr now I closed the wrong window and want I wrote is gone... it was about that: Children and drunken ones tell the truth; so it seems clear: Spike loves Buffy :) (as we knew before) *gg* But maybe Buffy will believe that he really feels something for her. And the rejection of Alicia seems to have thrown Spike into a very big (deep) hole. And he wanted Buffy to be the one to help him out. I truly hope that it will to up for him now on this street of redemption! :)

Somehow I think this is what Spike needed to be rocked into reality, and leave it to Buffy to pick up the pieces and hopefully put him back in the right way.....loving it, more please and thanks

Right now a friend is exactly what Spike needs, he's so lucky to have Buffy be there for him. It was a nice touch that Buffy wrapped her arms around Spike instead of the other way around. Wonderful chapter!

Again, my heart just aches for the pain he's in. Nobody. no matter how badly they've screwed up, deserves this kind of sorrow. Poor guy. Glad Buffy's there to take care of him. Bet he'll be glad when he wakes up in the morning. LOL! Thanks for another GREAT chapter, Brat.
