WOW!!!! Well I had only found this fic a short while ago and haven't had the chance to review but I think now is definitely the time.


First off, this fiction is AMAZING!!!!!! I tdeals with real emotions adn it makes you feel for the characters which is a sign of true talent so Brat don't you dare change a thing. If there are people out there that feel this is too close to 'his' real life well tough shit. We have no idea what his'life is like nor do we pretend to. Like you said before, THIS IS FICTION!!!!!! Nowhere does it have 'his' name in your work , so for all we know this could be about someone you meet in the damn first grade. If someone wants to assume you are writing about him then that's their problem and they can deal with it. No one has a right to tell you what you can or can't write about write, period .


Okay now that I have ranted I will just say that I am so enjoying where you are going with this new fic and I can't wait for the next update. You are a phenominal writer girl and it was because of you that I got into the whole fanfiction writing in the first place. Aww... poor Spike. I do feel sorry for him. But I hope that this incident teaches him that his improved relationship with Alicia will take time and planning. He can't expect to just step into her 'weekday' life like the past 10 years never happened. That said, I think he is on his way to vast self improvement.

As for you, Brat, you have handled a difficult situation with lots of class. I'm glad that it hasn't slowed you down. Keep up the good work!

Awww..You can't help but to feel bad for Spike. It seems as if he is feeling rejected.

I think it was unrealistic to just expect for Same to understand what he is thinking and be receptive without knowing. I can understand Sam wanting him to call first.. On the the other hand though, Sam could have been a bit more sensitive here. She was reacting out spite and a bit of cold revenge..I do think that she would easily come around if she realized what Spike's intentions are. On that note....I hope that Spike turns to Buffy for support here..instead of having a "relapse".. cause his ego did take a bit of a bruising there...

Can't wait to see where you go with this from here : D

Author's Response: Thank you hon :) It'll make more sense later, but you are right about Sam. Sam was also thinking here that Alicia hasn't told Spike about her "boyfriend" yet and wanted Alicia to tell him on her own time. She was trying to respect Alicia's wishes on keep that on the down low. :)

ok, I read your into note, and while it is POSSIBLE that Spike's behavior COULD mimick JM, I can't imagine anyone actually thinking that it was more of a bio . so I just want to say I love the story, and this is why it is called fan fiction. I do think many "celebrities" could benefit from the wisdon that is shown here on how they get caught up in their status. So I say, keep going, I will stay loyal and thanks

This is a really good story but it's breaking my heart - don't know how much more "I" can take much less Buffy & Spike. Time for a little happy Spuffiness don't you think??

Well, Alicia seemed really attached to Ryan doing the outing, so even if Sam had been supportive of Spike, it probably wouldn't have worked out that day. What could have happened was sitting down with Alicia's schedule and having Spike take the next opening to spend time with his daughter, but Sam isn't going to give an inch even if Spike is really trying. She'd probably prefer that Spike was out of Alicia's life for good, since she's still so angry. Frankly, she has no idea how good she has it with him as her ex. At least Spike cares about his daughter, even if he was just the "fun" parent. Alicia could have it so much worse.

I'm happy that my mother never interfered in my relationship with my father, no matter what she thought of him. She hoped that I could have a good relationship with him, even though that was never to be. I respected that a lot, because it could have been really bitter on BOTH sides, instead of the one.

Well, I can't say I'm too upset for Spike.....however:

Being experienced in this type of thing? Sam could have changed the plans and let Spike take Alicia for supper and to buy the things.
She didn't because she is a nasty bitch that is putting her revenge ahead of her child.
I'm sorry, believe me that I had to say that but it's how I feel.
We're all bitter about something, but you must never let the child be the middle ground for your battle.
I remember a day, a long time ago, when my oldest daughter was about three (she's now 25!)
Her Daddy had come to pick her up for a day out, he had limited visitation.
When he said he didn't have time to run our daughter back and forth to some events? He left and my little girl bawled her eyes out.
Luckily, I had my dad to step in and he promptly took her to the zoo.
What Im getting at here is this: If my ex-husband would have dropped by, in the middle of the week to see his daughter; you're damned straight, I would have been put out.
But...I would have at least had her go with him to get an ice cream or something. See what I mean?

Anyway, it looks as if both Sam and Spike have a ways to go before they're mature.

I don't feel that sorry for Spike, just for Alicia really.
My oldest daughter rarely speaks to her father now and it breaks my heart.

Without giving it all away I can say that all sides have their reasons and here I wanted to show that just because Spike wants to change and be there, not everyone is going to be as receptive to it as he'd like. Know what I mean? Plus, here, Sam was thinking that Alicia is getting a birthday card for her 'boyfriend' and hasn't told Spike about that yet because she doesn't feel comfortable telling him so. So she was thinking she was respecting Alicia's wishes to keep it secret for now until Alicia is ready to tell him. Yeah, Sam is bitter and she is wary of Spike just showing up like that. She doesn't understand quite yet what his intentions are. This is all part of the ride, I think, for everyone involved and not just Spike. Thank you darlin' :)

Heavy dose of reality for Spike, but this is just the wake-up call he needed. I'm really enjoying this tale of redemption. Can't wait for the next update. Great chapter as always!

You go girl! What an emotional chapter. I actually feel a little bad for Spike now but as we moms know, kids have busy lives. He should have called. Let's hope he doesn't do anything stupid.
