I like Angel in this..and I'm glad that he is a source of a bit of jealousy for Spike. A little jealousy is good for the soul. lol Sometimes it can help things along..if you know what I mean ; )

Uh-huh... Spike pushed Buffy so far she doesn't want to continue their friendship... because she don't want to watch his 'doom'. Spike is slowly learning his lesson as it seems: He is trying to get her room. Lets hope it will help them, him respecting her wishes.

Yeah for more! Two chapters in one day, gotta love it. I'm sorry that you are getting so much shit for the way Spike is in this fic. I'm sure that, more often than not, celebrities can feel like they are invincible and infallable. But they soon learn the truth that they too are mere mortals and not everything they do is "cute" and "ecclectic". The fact that you use that adds to the realness of the story. Spike is having his little eureka moments that are leading up to a lifetime (hopefully) of change. Buffy must come to terms with her feelings as Spike sorts out his own. Neither character is a saint nor a devil, they are human. Thanks, Brat, for the wonderful chapter. I look forward to seeing how you play this one out.

The fact that Spike didn't try and manipulate her into what he wanted, when he knew he could, but DIDN'T, shows that he's learning. He's taken another step in the right direction. I'm proud of him.

His road to redemption won't be easy, obviously, but at least he's making his way down that road. All hope is not lost! He's just gotta knock the coward persona and step up. =)

Again, I like this story. And I really like this chapter. Bravo. ;-)

Ok- I like the fic, but I have to be honest. If he is such an ass consistently, why would she bother? I like the character devo and I like how we get bits of info from Spike that Buffy doesn't know, but don't forget to keep him likeable. Not that you haven't this far- just a warning for the future. Keep up the good work with this, and it'll continue to be one of the good fics out there. :-) I hope that was constructive- I'm told I should give more constructive feedback. Spike is lucky that Buffy has "more-than-friends" feelings for him othe wise she wouldn't put up with as much as she does. I mean, my best friend is the same sex as me and if she treated me as Spike does Buffy, she certainly wouldn't be my friend any more. If she had begged me to come to her house, and then lied to me, broke a promise to me, invited a stanger over to have sex with while I was in the house, got into a fight with her ex while her child and I were there, told me that I'm cramping her style by being there and she has to change her life for me, then left me alone at her house while she went out to get drunk and maybe pick someone up - yeah, we definitely wouldn't be "best" friends anymore. As disgusting as the sleeping around with borderline children is: the other aspects of Spike's personality does not bode well for friendship. Can't imagine Buffy wanting to spend time with Spike as a friend unless she did have an attraction to him. Which is also what hurts her more when he is an ass. He just needs a couple of years of therapy before he can be in a relationship with anyone.
