Guess that was Spike's wake up call..and it came in the form of a little girl, and a Madonna song.. Very creative.
He felt sick. He wanted to throw up.

I hope that means that Spike is turning a corner in the way he sees his life, and acts with women. I really hope that he realizes that he is in love with Buffy.. Buffy's relationship with Alicia is so sweet, I enjoy reading about the time they are spending together.

Man is Spike in for a BIG wake up call here.. His thoughts are definately on the right track..so what's it gonna' take?

I love the fact that Sam likes Buffy so much. Trust me..as the daughter of a father who was married FIVE..yes count them..FIVE times. It is definately good thing for the ex-wife, Mother of your child to actually like the new woman in your life. Out of 4 marriages and numerous girlfriends..my Mom only liked 2 of them.

As you can see..This story is hits close to home for me too..Only more from the daughters perspective. I really look forward to seeing Spike redeem himself..unlike my Dad. *rolling eyes* I loved my Dad..He just never got the relationship thing right though.. : )

Wow Spike really doesn't come across that well in this fic. I guess you got tired of everyone bashing on Buffy in your other fic. Did you really have to take it out on poor Spike so much. Hopefully the game of kick the Spike won't go on much longer.

Author's Response: It actually has nothing to do with the other story at all and the bashing of Buffy in it. I go where the muse takes me, my ideas come and I go with them, I don't pre-meditate these things by which character will get bashed or not. This had been an idea that had been kicking around and wouldn't leave me be until I went for it.

Spike's starting to get it. Starting to understand that maybe what he's doing, living his life, isn't exactly the best way. It's a great thing.
I like his ex-wife, he might think that it's in her job description to nag him but she knows what she's talking about.
Loving the story. Can't wait for more.

All I can say is I can not wait to see how this story and Spike himself will progress. This is fast becoming my favorite story.

I like how Spike was able to self reflect, shows that he's not completely shallow, at least on purpose.

I wanted to comment on something someone said on your LJ, about how you said there were alot of people upset about learning that Spike cheated on his wife, but in other stories, when Spike is cheating on his wife WITH Buffy, no one seems to mind.
Personally, I believe in those stories, Spike is made to be sympathized with. His wife is almost always Dru who treats him like dirt, so him cheating with Buffy is always seen as some sort of salvation.
Right now, we don't have the luxury to know what state your Spike and his relationship with Sam was in. We only have the outsider looking in point of view right now and that light is very unflattering on him. Honestly, I see him really different knowing that. Don't know yet if it's a bad or a good thing...but it's defintly leaning toward the negative.

But I know you'll redeam him somehow through his relationship with Buffy...all the faith in the free world. Keep up the good work!!
