With the exception of Joyce this story took no prisoners. Giles would have a heart attack to think that he could've had the journals that Angelus had written. Sad but at least this is in contrast to the TV series where Buffy and Joyce died. They live in your story.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm trying to keep things similar to season 5 while improving upon things that I think could've been done differently. Giles would've loved to see Angelus' journals, but just imagine what kind of information he'd find out about Spike's past, too. I hope you continue to read the fic and like it!

The truth is out! And Tessa knows now not to blame Spike. Yet she got her revenge: both Darla and Angel(us) are dead now. I wonder what Buffy will do/say now to Tessa (because of Dawn).

Sorry, I fell behind some chapters; I'm catching up now! ~ So Spike is really no wimp *gg* kissing the slayer! :) And I wonder if Angel has to spill the truth soon. It's good to see that Buffy trusts Spike (letting him stay in her room). Xander.. that's typical for him. ~ So they are ready to attack; time for the truth? :)

Well I must have missed something.When did spike and buffy get so close.I'm going to have to backtrack,so I can catchup.

Author's Response: They're a lot closer than they typically are in this chapter, although they're not to the point where sex is normal or something along that line. They're definitely more than friends, which has been hinted at in prior chapters but was sealed in this chapter.
