I enjoyed the tone of this story. Spike's initial soft reflection of their night together was nicely realized, and his change of demeanor as soon as Buffy pulled away was in character and sharply written. I liked your softer, self aware Buffy.

That's just lovely. Pulled at my heartstrings but ended sweetly. Nice to read a Buffy who can open up a little. Beautifully done!

Wow. *wipes tears from her eyes* That was amazing. Really. There was no sudden change, no confusing epiphany. Just Spike and Buffy, reacting to the night before while it was still fresh in their mind, keeping that openness they'd had earlier with them through the morning. This story really sounds like the way things could have (*should* have) happened. Awesome job, Ashlee!
