Oh, .. Buffy thinks she won too? Mmmm. it's really better that Giles didn't come to rescue Buffy *gg*. But when she phoned him Spike vanished? Not so good.. but Buffy is very possessive now and she want to get him back *grins* Looking forward to the next part. :)

This is a good review. Just wanted to say that up front, so you don't get the wrong idea. The story makes me very uncomfortable, which I believe was your intention. The moral ambiguity is very well done, and you raise important questions about power and whether the means can justify the end. I look forward to reading more.

It doesn't matter that she rejected his claim. It just means that it wasn't mutual. A vampire can claim a human as a possession without their consent, so she's still his no matter what.

It's just that a mutual claim is on the next level.

Mmmm Buffy wanted him too. She just didn't want to risk him getting the upper hand. Spike tried to claim her and she denied it; Buffy claimed Spike and he acknowledged it. Does it mean she has the 'upper hand', is stronger in the claim? But the ritual isn't decided.. or? *wonders* Looking forward to the next part! And what you have in store for the next chapter (thinks of the A/N).
