oh yeah! angel-bashing with a cherry on top. mmmm. me like. me like alot. as already said, angel has it coming, for a long while. have always wanted angel to get beaten (by buffy) on the show, but he was allways soul-having, and we couldn't have him beaten down then? noooooo, of course not. *snicker* but they could beat poor spike *pout* no fair. anyhu, love the chapter, the story and your characterizations. keep it up! hugs

Don't really care for this wussy Spike - he's suppose to a master vampire for gosh sakes!! Please stop channeling Joss and be done with all this angst! Its time Willow fessed up about tinkering with the ritual and then denying doing anything. Another great update but please take pity and give us some Spuffiness.

I love that Spike is such a realist, and asks Buffy to not make any promises she can't keep. Although, I also love that he is so tender-hearted, and has opened himself up to her. Great, great chapter.

So they both have problems. The thing is Spike is blaming Buffy for all of them. When is Spike going to take his share? If Buffy has to "change" then he should too. That is if Spike wants them to be equals.

I like your story. Really. I've been enjoying it. But Spike is being whiney, and it's totally unfair to put everything on Buffy. Of course she's a control freak. But you can't change someone. Spike has to be strong enough to stand up to her when she's a controlling bitch AND love her in spite of her faults. Sure, deamon girl emphasized her issues...but that doesn't make it Buffy's fault, and she shouldn't be getting that kind of "change or loose" me lecture; that's JUST as manipulative. And it also doesn't mean she can work on changing herself, but SPIKE can't demand that. He can only show her, be strong for himself, and let Buffy do the rest...and that takes time. He's being a whiney punk right now. And what about Spike's fault?

That's my critique, but no worries, I'm sucked in until the end.

Yeah, it is Spike that is acting paranoid and scared here, not Buffy. That's the reason he is (acting) so weird. ~ In a way it would be really better if Spike would open up to Buffy when they could read their thoughts then. Buffy would notice when Spike had a problem so to say. ~ Oh that's one of the reasons he has problems now; Spike was under a dominance claim before and he suffered. ~ I'm glad Spike opened up to Buffy at the end of the chapter. I hope this has helped now.

I hope it works out for them! Things seem to be a little better. They both got issues to take care of. I'm wondering though....has it hit BUffy that she had to watch herself nearly die and get beat up by Spike? Update soon please!
