Mmmmmh-hmmmm when Buffy's demon is fighting against Spike telling the story of the first slayer than it is important that he tells it. End of the line? That would be pretty bad indeed. So they have to find a solution without killing the demon. Yet I wonder if Spike claiming Buffy back would do the trick b/c it's only her... but there was something in the first spell. I have to read it again. Maybe it would work... Till next chapter!

Yes - NOW do you see what Wilow's lack of knowledge and preparation has wrought??? Now do you see what your arrogance has wrought, Giles? You're more of a spellcaster than Willow - if anyone should have done a spell to release Spike's chip, it should have been you. And, you never should have allowed her to do that spell without checking what spell she was using!!

Your friends truly are going to get you killed one day, Buffy - especially since your Watcher uses them as excuses to be lazy.

Remember the language of the spell about *bounding*. Read over the spell now, guys, and it should be obvious what needs to be done. Buffy needs to submit to being bound in some manner, or the only other choice is to kill her to prevent the demon's escape.

Nicely written-- no real surprises, as you did a nice job of foreshadowing in the previous chapters. But I liked the "end of the line" for Slayers-- that was a nice touch.

Great update! I'd like to smack Giles and Xander upside the head with a big stick. More please.

Oh my.. Buffy is still suffering of what she did to Spike, whatever he says. Well he isn't okay and Buffy saw it; even it wasn't really Normal!Buffy's fault that Spike got hurt. But Xander.. he'll never trust Spike because Spike got Buffy and not he, Xander. Xander should act like a friend but he doesn't. Loved Buffy's speech. And now Spike will tell.. in the next part :)

Very nice! I've had some catching up to do on my reading since I'd been away on vacation. I really like where you are taking this story-- I loved the tender moments they shared as Buffy shared her blood, and the way she recently stood up to her friends was amazing! Wish the writers of BtVS had her do that and not worry about the Xan-man so much! Looking foward to your next chapter!

Aha! I knew it would all come down to that pesky first slayer! Can't wait til Spike spills all the beans (I still think Willow's got some 'splainin' to do too). As much as I know you need him for plot (and cause we all need someone to hate - other than Buff - at this point) I hope Bitch-Buffy knocks Xander around a bit before all is put to rights - he's just SOOOOOOOO annoying! He'd learn so much more if he'd shut up and listen once in a while. Well, back to your wonderful tale.... I still love it and look forward to the next installment. Sure hope Buffy can keep her Slayer cool through Spike's explaination. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.

I forgot to add Joyce last time: she cares about Spike too, not only Buffy and Dawn. But that's it. Okay, Anya was worried too. ~ To the new chapter: Loved Buffy going through the motions. .. hopefully things will start to get better; if they are able to prevent the next danger (the council). And if you didn't guess: Loved the chapter :)

Is Buffy gonna end up dying if whatever's in her doesn't leave? I hope no one else gets hurt, especially Spike. He's suffered enough and so has Buffy, the real one, in a way!
