I'm a terrible reader in that I seldom review. Usually, it's all I can do to check to see if anything I've been reading has been updated, but that's no excuse.

And yet I couldn't just read and move on with this. I've read practically everything you've written, and I always know when I see your name that I'm in for a treat. Always. And it was unconscionable for me to read this long without telling you. Keep up the good work. You make me jealous, and that's a good thing. It keeps me trying to tell a better story not only in fanfic but in my original work. Which you should consider if you don't already have some. I'd like to buy something you wrote in a bookstore one of these days.

This is a great story. Very interesting the changes in Buffy. Can't wait to see what happens when the others get the full story. Also can't wait to find out further interactions with Buffy and Spike. Great update.

I don't think that Buffy will ever tell Giles every single bit of the ritual. First I thought that Buffy would regard the wants of the Scoobies higher all the time (telling Spike to be quiet). But then Xander was threatening Spike. Oh yeah.. secret is out now. Possessive Primal!Buffy did show again. Now Giles has seen her in action. I hope he'll can tell her what's gone wrong. I still think the claim has to be balanced for a start. Looking eagerly forward to the reaction of the Scoobies (and Spike). :)

Spike now that him claiming her back would balance everything a bit. ~ And yet now Buffy is disappointed because Spike didn't say that he claimed Buffy because he loves her. At last Buffy said she couldn't do it because she doesn't know more. Awe, misunderstandings galore. Buffy is a little coward now.. just a little bit :)

i like that they're trying to make it work, but that was sad, so sad... Of course, if spike revealed his tru feelings, buffy would understand him more and admit her new feelings too... but he doesn't becouse he's totally scared of being too vulnerable, and being hurt again. So she is confused, misunderstands his behaviour, and hurts him again. Stop please.... my head's spinning! (and they need some loving! lol)

This darn well better have happy ending. Otherwise I be very peeved and depressed!!!!

I just stumbled across this story today and I couldn't stop reading. Well done and I can't wait to read more!

This really is dark, dark stuff, isn't it. Quite different from your usual fayre, jl.

I've deliberately kept from commenting so far, because I haven't decided whether I liked the way this was heading. But, now I realise that 'liked' isn't really the right word to describe my feelings for this fic. I've decided it's worth sticking with it because you're doing so well at exploring the effects of a ballsed up situation.

Sometimes, reading a chapter is like wading through treacle... revisiting the same old ground. He gets all riled up and miffed at being dominated, she gets overtaken by the primal part of herself that's made the claim, they fight, she beats shit out of him, shages him senseless, he melts into a gooey puddle of acquiescence and the Slayer calms back down in a post domination shag haze.

It's NOT a D/s story, it's a story about inequality, loss of self determination and confused feelings, but the resulting chaos forever ends up in domination and non consentual submission... maybe that's the squick here... it's a non-con situation?

However, I know that you're a Supffy lover deep, deep down there, and so I'm going to stick with this. I'm interested to see how you ease things out of this treacley inertia we appear to be stuck in.
