Author's Response: Rachel's experience with her brother,and then Angelus, led her to her kooky theory about the person the vampire was playing a big part in the vampire's evil deeds later on.

Oh, wow, I love Spikes tales of eating groupies at Billy Idol shows. That's just brilliant. Such fun indeed. And more windows to the past. I love those, too. Spike keeping Rupert on the straight an narrow and Dawn pulling no punches keeping Red in line. So many wonderful things. Great chapter, please, update soon.

I like how Giles and Spike's talk played out. I enjoyed getting Giles's perspective on why he refused to see any gray areas in life. Loved how Spike threw in the Billy Idol joke at the close of the chapter, it was a nice way to lighten the mood. Fantastic update!

Author's Response: I had to get the Idol thing in there somewhere. I still rock out with Billy in my headphones. I think that's part of the reason I liked "Spike" in the first place. Giles has to remember who his elders are, rhough. ;-)

I enjoyed Giles and Willow's conversation. Loved Spike's interactions with Panya and Buffy. With all the guilt and pain Spike is feeling right now a good dose TLC is just what the doctor ordered, i'm glad Buffy is coming through for him. Fantastic chapter!
Wow! The banner was quite a surprise. :D Nemo really captured the drama of the beginning of the story perfectly. I like the African backdrop.

You neatly show that Buffy still has things to make up for without making us dwell on it, yet, since it's plenty easy to be very angry at her for how she treated him before..
