I really liked how you portrayed Buffy in this chapter. I think it was great that her belief in Spike was so strong that she realized he would never hurt her. Maybe now Giles can make up for his lack of faith and come up with a way to help Spike... cause poor Spike could really use the calvary to come soon. Wonderful update!

Spike is doing a marvelous job of holding it together. I certainly hope he gets a good bit of into out of the watcher. And Lydia seems to have made a pretty good choice in my eyes. Looking forward to see what she does next. And I must wonder if Giles and Buffy know what is up with Spike yet. Well, I guess I really just want another update. Great chapter.

Typical that the mostly male Watchers Council see Lydia as a nothing but a piece of fluff. I'm really glad they're underestimating her, Spike could use a friend right now. I just love the way you capture Spike's personality. It's not surprising at all that he wouldn't escape without knowing that his loved ones are safe first. I enjoyed Spike's conversation with Travers... it's so much fun to watch The Big Bad come out and play. Wonderful update!

And this whole tie in of this story to the lions of Tsavo. I saw the actual stuffed lions at the museum they're at in Chicago this past summer. Quite an interesting thing to look at animals who are so famous for killing men... I hope Buffy gets to Spike in time... She can't die from a lion attack, you wouldn't do that... Wonderful chapter.
