Yep..I reconized tones from Dead Things right off the bat. That was always one of my favorite scenes between Buffy and Spike. I like how you utilized it here.

I do see that Spike is force to be reckoned with here..but I hope that Buffy is able to hold on to her "light"..Whatever you decide to do wtih this story, it's going to be interesting..

BTW..I noticed a mention of Dru here...I can't help but wonder if she will be a problem for Spike and Buffy..(one of many) lol Great work..Can't wait to read more!

Think the story is great so far. Although the feel of the mobster families feels like it's not set in this time but back in the 20's or 40's or something.

I don't understand why you apologise for the way you portray Spike. I mean he's a mobster, he can't be too careful or too paranoid about people in his inner circle. I mean if he got all lovey dovey with Buffy it would probably make him careless and get him killed. I sure hope you don't make him some pussy whipped idiot later in this story. I just can't see a real good way out for him. I mean Michael Corleone tried for pretty much his whole life and never got out and since this is set in the same sort of enviroment I would hate to have it lose the feeling and turn it into care bares united.

I've read some other spuffy stories set in gangster worlds that was great until Spike turned from bad ass to total whimp. It would be like Spike in the show turned from what he was to the Dalai Lama and refused to hurt a fly. I mean in the show he didn't really change but his allegiance and what he killed....he still went out and fought and killed just demons

Author's Response: I only apologise because a few people were offended by Spike's behavior some even thought that thisis what I feel that women should be treated even though I myself am a woman. Dont worry I won't Spike whipped at all when it comes to his work. Though I will keep him as his usual hopeless romantic self when it comes to Buffy. No way will it affect his work except a couple times. I'm glad you like it.

I can't wait ro read more bout Spike and Buffy's interactions. I do still hope they get together though!!!! Are Angel and Riley gonna be in the story? Maybe cause trouble for the couple when they're starting to really like each other? UPDATE SOON PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
