I just noticed this fic--not sure why it slipped through the cracks but I'm glad that I was able to find and read it. I like the beginningand am wondering what happened to make Buffy stay away from everyone. Did Joyce die during that horrible 18th birthday slayer "test" and is that why Buffy split off from the Scoobies? Please update soon!

I liked it. It's different and that's a good thing plus while Buffy's circumstances are difficult and not what we might wish for her you've allowed her to maintain her dignity (by being a bartender - that's a respectable job) and still have an edge (slayer working in a skin joint? That's definitely got teeth). More soon please...I'm very interested. 8-)
