Personally I think you did an awesome job of their confrontation. The decision to have Spike leave instead of hashing it out was smart. Buffy's emotions running so high after the ugly scene with Riley coupled with the shock of seeing Spike there would have had any discussion of their relationship come out sideways. I love how he left her with that one word to consider after she had calmed down. Great instinct with that one!

Ya know, despite you stating this is a somewhat quasi-angsty chapter, it is still so much fun. Dishing out the good stuff without some build up would have left this a bit too fluffy and god...this has been a winner right from the starting gate. Frankly, if you hadn't said this was your first fic, I would have assumed you have been writing under another for so long. You have tapped both Spike and Buffy's insecurities so well, and though it's AU, I can still see the canon personality traits that we know so well.

Okay, so the size of Spike's "assets" were never actually mentioned in canon, but damn girl...we all KNOW that you got it right. *snerk*

Glad you liked the confrontation, and no, no fluff in this one, that will come later - well in the form of romance anyhow. Yeah, the whole situation really threw Buffy for a loop, turning into bitch of the year, lol. Poor William/Spike, he just knew there wasn't any getting thru to her, so what else could he say except that she was wrong. Yu[, I'm a sucker for Oz myself. Nope, I swear on the bible this is my first fic. I only hope my writing is getting better every few chapters, I can't wait to delve into writing another story. I did rely a lot on the canon personalities, it was helpful, so I'm glad you enjoy that aspect. LOL, oh girl, you know Spike is packing - even if it's not 9", it's got to be a biggie. people are insecure idiots. i feel so sorry for buffy believing that she is not good enough and spike for believing the same thing. also, they need to think before they speak. hopefully buffy can convince spike that she did not really mean what she said even though it is out there and cannot be un-remembered.

Ah, there you are :) I thought you forget posting. Read it before and what I wanted to say to it is here now:
Buffy's intension are good, not wanting to tell anything in order to get Spike not in trouble. But now she is totally wrong about Spike intentions.
Ah but Spike talked with Lorne, telling him how he feels when he 'sang'. Good that Lorne tried to talk some sense into him, not to give up on Buffy. He'll have to work with Buffy too, make her see what she can have. ~ Oh there Buffy is now, at Spike's Grisanti's.. ... As I feared, Spike saw her now (and isn't happy, seeing her with Riley). Ah but now Spike could witness Buffy breaking up with Riley. That at last cheered him up a bit. But Buffy brought him down again when she said she didn't need him and didn't want to hear his apology. ~ Loved the chapter and looking forward to the next one :)) Especially when it is about to get better now.
And I hope you are better now too.
