Okay so I just read that quickly because I'm supposed to be asleep...I'll try to read it more carefully tomorrow or soon....and now i have this whole idea for soething that could be going to happen that I totally blame on thinking about a certain movie recently (what? As for paying for his service vs a freebie, well, I have my plan and unfortunetely that's all I can say w/out giving it away. No, he's not going to go after b/c he's convinced he's beneath her and well, it might be stalking if he did. He's praying she'll call for him again though. Oh yes, the angst is coming, maybe not next chappy, but it's coming. Thanks for the awesome review, I'm glad you're asking the right questions and I do hope you enjoy the answers as they unfold.

Aside from the hot sex turing my laptop into a puddle of goo.... That was so sweet, the way they both tried to make their last time a fantasy of realness! As much as I (and the cig manufacturers) love all the GREAT Spuffy lovin' that's been going on, I'm very much looking forward to what's gonna happen next. I'm sure there so much more to this tale. They need to meet in real life, they need to pine, buffy needs to sell her house and buy spike for the next few years (oh wait, that's my plan) oh well. Love it. Anxious for more.

This is such a wonderful story. Extremely hot & sexy and then sweet & poignant. I am enjoying the character development. and can hardly wait to find out more about Spike's alter ego, William, and his complete story, especially the rationale for joining the escort service. I think Buffy's next day reflections will also prove to be very interesting. But please don't make us wait too long before they get together again. I got a little choked up when Spike left without one more look at Buffy - sigh.. Did I mention that this is a brillant story?

So, I was supposed to be outside putting up hurricane shutters and finishing the prep for this dang storm and I gave everyone orders then snuck back into the house to read your chapter. (Makes my day/week when a new chapter arrives) Anyway, I got caught by the family so I had to postpone the reading and actually help out. (I'd already gotten a few paragraphs into it and man was it hard to close my laptop even at that point)
I found that when I am reading your work sometimes feel as though I am in his head, then I'll feel as though I am in her head and suddenly I'll feel as though I am just in the room as an observer. I am completely taken in by the story, each character individually, them as a couple and their various interactions, the whole plot, and the potential for where the story can go. Like a great movie ... it is the ONLY thing on my mind at the time that I am reading it. Your imagination, your attention to detail, your creativity and the way that you are able to convey the story is absolutely amazing !!!! Usually when reading a story (and you know that I am reading a lot of them) I can think of things that I would have done differently or little things that really would have made a story better. I absolutely do not do that while reading this story. It is so well done. I wouldn't change a syllable.
I love the fact that you are not injecting artificial angst into the story ... their situation alone is angsty enough if one considers them as individuals ... what are the chances of this encounter in real life ... slim to none (yet still plausible) ... can they do it ?... will it work? ... I mean the angst goes on and on just by virtue of the plot.
I love this story and I know that you put a lot into each chapter that you write and man does it show...it's flawless. Thanks for all of your time and effort ... this is such a masterpiece and I am faithfully standing by waiting for what ever comes next. I know that you love this story and I know that what ever you do with it will be awesome. You go girl !!! And thanks so much for all you do!


Author's Response: Such an outstanding review, really blew me away thank you a million times over. This is an author’s dream to have this much feedback, and so positive at that. I do hope you have your house secured, my prayers are with you and your family. To know you can be in each mind’s eye for both of them and still an observer lets me know I’ve accomplished my goal, which is of course to make the reader ‘feel’ what the characters do, and still be able to ‘see’ what’s going from an outside perspective. And I’m happy that the story draws you into a place where you can escape all thought except for what you’re reading. I think that’s why almost every reader comes here for so many of the great fics, to escape to a world where love – usually – reigns supreme between our fav couple. That’s a first, to know someone wouldn’t have changed a thing, cuz I agree, when reading a story sometimes, you think... ‘oh I wouldn’t have had him say that’. So I’m thrilled you feel that way, so much so I’m not sure how to respond to it, I’m speechless – and I’m a talker by nature. Angst, oh boy, a touchy subject indeed. I’m sure that will be an area where I won’t be able to please everyone, but I will follow my heart and my gut instinct on what needs to be. As for artificial angst, it doesn’t need it. You’re 100% correct in your assessment, this plot is a challenge, and god knows I love a challenge. It’s plausible but not likely, thus a good first fic for me to tackle. If I can thrill readers when this is complete, I will surely go on to write more and different types of fic. As for the attention to detail portion of your review, I had to laugh... I’m a Virgo, thus a perfectionist by nature, but after being in the military and their ‘attention to detail’ training, well it’s resulted in agonizing over simple things like a choice of one word.
