wowowowowowowowowow! i am in love with this fic. first your perspective on what it must feel like to be an escort (a male one at that) seems very true to me, and i love the whole pretty woman 'no kissing thing', i find it is more personal then sex most of the time. I like how youve seperated Spike from william mentally and the sex scenes are hot, i really cant wait to read more of this its amazing! Ill be back as soon as you post again!

Love the story. It is really sexy. i gotta tell you...the way I read I inch the scroll bar down line by line (really about two lines at a time), so when I came to that lovely little picture was at the point I read Buffy's, "Oh my GOOOOD!" And THAT...was EXACTLY my reaction to the picture. it was quite funny. After that though, I had to scroll up really fast to hide the picture at the top of the page in case my boyfriend walked into the room. :)

Author's Response: Yeah, I would assume so. Let's face it, if the real JM ever did anything like it - it would sell millions of copies, and FAST too. Could you imagine being the photographer, I'd be like, "take it off baby, hold it, hold it, that's it yeah, randy baby", like in Austin Powers. I think it's someone who has the art of superimposing down quite well. Doesn't matter to me, I like it just the same.

First... thanks for the great update and the lovely little surprise picture in the middle - the pic made me try to tilt my laptop to try to peak a bit further down. Loved the update, worth the wait for you and your muse to be happy! Very erotic! (this tale will cause me to double my smoling habit - oh well!). Second I was reading your authors notes from the 1st chap through current and I gotta say, anyone who's flaming you for writing about rape (in this or any tale) should just go read some PG-13 stuff and leave YOU and other authors alone! I believe your "kinky/freaky" warning pretty much covers the possiblilty of a "rape", "pseudo rape" or "implied rape" - there are MANY people out there that have rape fantasies and while the actual rape of anyone is not a matter for enterainment - these stories ARE for entertainment, they are not actual accounts of a real human being raped. I think anyone in the real world who rapes another should have their parts boiled in oil and be put to dealth in as slow and painful way as possible. But these tales are fiction, with fictious characters so in my book anything the writer wants goes! It's your story to tell as you see fit. Now that I've ranted I'll get back to the good review! The tale is awesome, your writing skills are awesome and I'm so plesaed that your heart is big enough to share your talents with everyone. I had to react to your complaining on getting a negative review - and deleting it. Sorry, but a real author must be able to handle criticism and evolve along with that. If you're incapable of anything but throwing a hissyfit over criticism you might want to reconsider your constant commments in your notes about how authors should be treated. When all comes down to it, you only write fanfiction. This story is so far quite well-written but if you're not able to handle criticism your work will never improve.


Author's Response: This wasn't just a negative review - that I can handle, especially if it helps me as a writer and I welcome it. After all, that’s what my betas are for and do – so yeah, bring it on so I can become a better author. What that person complained about was rape in general being used in ANY fic, not just mine. I can't remember her exact words or I'd put them here so you can see. I'm pretty laid back and the last person who'll throw a hissy-fit over a review even if they wrote "I think this fic sucks" - that's just a negative review, no big deal and I'd leave that posted. But I actually got attacked for her issues with rape in general, or rather I happened to be in her line of fire for all authors who write about rape in any manner. Now I wish I'd kept it b/c it wasn't a complaint, or criticism, or even constructive criticism, it was a direct flame - even my beta's and a couple other author friends thought so. So I accept and won't delete negative reviews or just plain criticism as long as it not a flame of that nature. I just don't want to waste my time responding to flame, do you know what I mean? I'm not trying to be a smart-alec here or arrogant (not my style), but I hope you understand it really was an un-called for thing and why I deleted it upon suggestion and made a decision to delete all flames – even if a flamer thinks they have the right. It’s my opinion that flaming is immature IF there’s nothing legitimate within it. If she had come out and said: "look, aside from me not liking to read anything with rape in it, your story implies something that may not be tasteful and I personally refuse to read this anymore b/c I'm offended". Now that's going about it in a diplomatic and mature way - it's NOT what she did. So again, no, I don't throw hissy-fits over negative reviews and perhaps I should have put more thought into my author's note or you may not have misconstrued that, that is my fault, and b/c of your constructive criticism on my author's note I will revamp it. I stand by defending authors. In my opinion (and I emphasize opinion) people like her should email rather than flame. Some things are better discussed there rather than on the internet. So thanks for pointing out the flaw in my author’s note and for the positive comment on my writing, very, very much appreciated.
