God, I so wish I had a Spîke at home... Of course, I'd settle for JM... And you're so evil ! That was a fantastic chapter and such a good start for the year after a hard day. The way he hid her thong under the pillow for his collection made me laugh, as much as the way he threw the clock away carelessly, and the way she couldn't resist him. Well, I guess I loved the whole chapter, quoi.

I did actually debate and agonize over the question... to be intimate or not to be intimate - in the end I realized that's what this whole fic is about - the attraction for one another that can never be denied. Plus she's denied having love a part of her life - so some of her clue-lessness is natural since she keeps her distance. Lorne would probably like to do just that - blab everything, but, he's a firm believer in letting things take their natural course. Yes, I had wondered about the pregnancy comment last chapter and just forgot to say anything. I agree that these two have too much to deal with to throw a baby in the mix (I don't think I could handle that much angst.) This chapter started off with me again feeling torn about bitchy Buffy. I can definitely get why she was pissed (he was not listening to her and respecting her wishes), but at the same time what he was doing was very sweet (which probably would tend to piss me off more), but she did apologize for being so bitchy. I also think her distaste for his line of work had alot to do with being jealous of him sleeping with other women ( although, I could be projecting. I have a tendency to do that with her.) William needs to realize that telling a woman to wait for an explanation is like waiving a red flag in front of a bull. Our minds start to wonder what exactly he could be hiding and the reality is going to be so much tamer than what the mind can make up. Hopefully, it is not too late when he tells her (but I know you would not do that to us.) It was nice to finish it up with some sexy fun!! Thanks for that!! Congratulations about getting to see your sweety. My husband and I had been married for about ten years when due to a job thing we were forced to live 2000 miles away from each other for 14 months. It was the most miserable 14 months of my life, so I can sympothize with how you feel. Don't worry about your readers, they will be here when you get back. After all it is the holiday season, I am sure site hits will go down some. Enjoy your time with your family, that is the most important thing!!

Author's Response: Yup, I screwed up with last chapter's a/n. The last chapter and this chapter were originally one big chapter that I ended up having to split into two, due to the size limitation of the site. In one sense, Buffy had every right to be angry because she did need her space, but of course poor William was trying so hard that when she finally saw that, she gave into it and saw it for what it was and how it was intended. Buffy is most definetely jealous of the fact he sleeps with women for a living, she knows she has no right, but those feelings are there all the same. If she would accept the fact she loves him it would make things a tad easier, but he's not giving her reason enough to see it that way. They're both so stubborn. LOL, oh yes, I agree with you, about the red flag comment, we women are geared that way. Thanks for the well wishes, sweety, I appreciate it. It's nice to see that you understand my situation from a first hand experience point of view. It's definetely not an easy task playing single parent and being responsable for everything on a daily basis. I hope you never have to be seperated from your husband again.
