Author's Response: Yeah, they really did. There may be some discussion in the morning but Buffy knows asking him anything more would be pointless until he's ready. Yup, this is my hubby's second tour to the middle east, and unfortunetely not the last, according to his unit's orders, but we're hanging in there as best we can. I'm fine with what he has to do even if it makes life harder by having to take over all houselhold and legal responsibilities. It's my kids (ages 4 and 7) that make it hard. The tears and uncertainty that daddy will ever come home breaks my heart. Despite having talks with them to help them understand that it's just a job and he'll come back for good, well, in their tiny minds the concept of time isn't really there. All they know is he isn't here and they have a very close relationship with him and can't understand that if daddy loves them then why doesn't he just come home. So we'll all be grateful to see him over the holidays, I just fear the difficulty that will come when he goes to leave again. I hope you enjoy your holidays sweety. Author's Response: Well, look at it this way. Right now he feels he is the bottom of the barrel, the last person who is worthy of Buffy. He's old fashioned and he wants to get his ducks all in a row before he even thinks about pursuing her. He's afraid if he tells her one thing, he'll have to tell all. So it's better she knows all the bad and good once he has nothing more to do with the shady biz he's had to partake in. I hope that helps answer your questions sweety. The confrontation was excellent. William was the perfect balance of caring and forceful in keeping Buffy in the apartment. His concern was palpable, and I was delighted with Buffy's response to him. He may not have revealed all, but she was open to his nurturing and accepting of his care. The sex scene was erotic, and Buffy's voyeurism ramped up the sexual tension admirably. Well, got a little behind myself so got to read 2 chaps at once. Sweetie, when your man comes home for his 2 week visit you just totally ignore the Spuffyverse and ENJOY his company!!!!!!!! And THANK him for me for his service! We so often forget that no matter what our feelings are about our soldiers (and others) being overseas (be it Iraq, Korea or any other land), they are there because of their commitment to our country and regardless of MY personal feelings about American's involvement, I am proud of those who serve and pray for their safe return daily! So when your husband comes home, let him know how much he is loved and missed by you and how much he is appreciated by others even if they don't always say it!
The last couple of updates are awesome, so glad that Buffy decided to visit Spike and "yell" at him in person. Her "illness" helps to show his true colors and his concern for her well being is so sweet. The sexy little interlude at the end of the chap was also sweet, but very hot too! Poor Buffy, all that sexy man just enjoying thinking of her and all she can do is stand there watching and listening or totally ruin her earlier request for time!
Sure hope William can tell her soon what's going on his life and why he's had to do what he's done. She needs to know, but hopefully, she can love him without knowing everything. She knows he's a good man even if she's been paying him for services rendered!

Author's Response: Oh great, I know I always enjoy it when I have more than one chapter to read of something I'm following. Oh yes, I plan to kick back and enjoy having my man back home. THe kids miss him terribly as do I. It will be hard to see him leave again but I shall dive right back into writing once he does - it helps keep my sanity in check, lol. I will definetely thank him for you, he always appreciates that no matter how many times he may hear it. It is a sacrifice we face as a family, having to be apart and for this country as well. Despite anyone's feelings on present day politics or Bush's decisions, it doesn't take away from the fact there are many men and women who would rather be with their family than where they are now. Funny you should mention Korea. When I was in the ARMY myself, that was my fist duty station. I lived there for a year - it was, well, interesting to say the least. It won't be too long before William can tell her but its not around the corner either. Unfortunetely that's all I can say for now. Hee hee, I felt she deserved that little bit of sexual frustration for her attitude towards him. A little ST never hurt anyone right?
