Mmmm so Spike wasn't so far off thinking the worst about Buffy; but it won't stop here when she noticed it now: But I can't do everything just to keep them happy, not if it means I'm unhappy. Won't be a good life for her.

Awe, Buffy was really worried of Spike, he was her first thought when she noticed the sunrays. :)
Glad to hear Buffy won't let Spike leave Sunnydale. ~ Write away! I don't mind more chapters. I loved that Spike traded Buffy as an equal. Now Buffy has to make sure that she'll be in time for her date :-D

At the risk of sounding boringly repetitive...I LOVE THIS STORY! (Also thank you to Addie for possibly the loveliest banner I've seen to date.) You're development of the relationship between these two is both charming and passionate and a pure delight to read. This one has been moved to the top of my favourites list. I can't wait for more.

I absolutely love this story! I was going to finish what you had posted to date before reviewing, but had to comment on something in the previous chapter. William the Bloody"s House of Omelets? snort!! That line gave me a major tickle. I love a writer that gives good Spuffy AND makes me laugh. Thanks ever so.

OMG! I picked up this fic today, thinking firstly it was a new one, then thinking it was one I had read the first chapter on a while back... maybe I was correct on that one.
However, I certainly had not read the rest of this delightful fic! I am thoroughly enjoying seeing and "hearing" 'Victorian Gentleman Spike' --- am getting quite the kick outta it (among other things!). And it shows that you enjoy writing Spike, and also writing him this way. Perhaps you might consider writing Spike & Buffy in a time travel adventure with them ending up in Spike's Victorian England... it would be lovely to see him dote on her there and then.
Con-crit --- Buffy doesn't quite act right. For the purposes of the story, I am truly enjoying her responsiveness to Spike, her kinder gentler nature relative to him, and her realization that Normal & all White Bread Guys (Pretend Super-Heroes included) that go along with it are frustrating & for the birds. That said, there is just something OFF about Buffy's characterization.
This tome being said, I really enjoyed it, read it straight through in one sitting, and can't wait til you update! Thanks!
