Dru brought William to Buffy so they could meet. The rest? Buffy's work :) maybe she'll see it soon.

Just now she gets some lessons in love. William makes her see that she loves him. And is loved back. And Buffy doesn't even she did the first step, huh? Using the 'we'. ~ Looking forward to find out more (like you did it, the ghosts? Or not.)

I'm enjoying William standing up for himself, not letting Buffy have her way. These past few chapters have been loaded with smart dialogue and well plotted action. The tension of the silence of the ghosts is growing, and the creepiness of the shredded samples is keeping that tension high.

Good for William! It's hard not to let yourself get used when it want it, too. But I'm so very proud that he's drawing the line in the sand with Buffy. He certainly can't force her to feel anything, but he can not be a willing participant in her games. Love it, love it, love it! And how sweet that she really does turn to him and rely on him when in need.

Buffy's taking baby steps and doesn't even know it. The subconcious never lies. I'm really enjoying this tale.

Again, I have to ask... do you every sleep Brat? Cause you've got many ongoing tales that you update VERY frequently (and thank you very much for that) and they are all GREAT! So I'm thinking you don't eat, sleep or any other of those time wasting things that we mere mortals must do to survive... I love William's obvious determination in getting through to Buffy. You can see the mental shift-- kind of like, "Ok, so yelling didn't work, I'll try this approach." What struck me is how his behavior is calm, straight-forward, and while he's constantly checking if something is ok, he doesn't sound insecure. He twice tells her he loves her-- as if it's a plainly established fact of life. It reminds me of how one would act toward a frightened animal, to keep them from scampering away. Guess she is a bit skittish when it comes to deep emotions; the girl isn't used to her power in that arena. At any rate, wonderfully calculated characterization on your part-- I'm absolutely loving it.

I trust Buffy's gut feeling, i'm glad she's keeping Edina in the dark. I just love how supportive William is. I can't wait to find out if the ghosts do any more damage through the night. Wonderful chapter!
