Buffy is missing the twins are practically hysterical and all you can say is happy turkeyday?! Hmph. *wink* Great chapter. I feel so bad for them. This is a very exciting twist in the story and I'm on the edge of my seat for more. Happy thanksgiving to all you people who celebrate it. Us Australians will just sit back and wait till Christmas. : )

This is gripping. I am a little confused as regards time, but perhaps it will be come clear as things progress. Besides Buffy is not only in a situation that would petrify the hardiest of beings, she is also beiing drugged; that's got to mess with your body clock yet more.

Poor Will and Spike; their plans of an intimate evening turning to horror as realisation dawns.

Author's Response: No, they're not on the same time line. Buffy's definitely been there for longer than a night. It should become fairly clear when their timelines begin to mesh...because Spike's and Will's will jump forward. (There's only so much waiting angst I can write...and deal with myself ;) )

*shudder* That is one hell of an experience... I would absolutely HATE being in a situation like that. Poor Buffy! This method of torture is meant to drive its captive insane - I thought before these people would only try to convince her otherwise, but never this... this method is so barbaric and cruel.

Excellent chapter... it was intense and I love it. I'll be looking forward to more!

Author's Response: It's not really meant for insanity (though it could easily go that way) but more to disorient; it's more about loosing track of time and eventually convincing yourself there's no hope. But it's not fun. Thanks for sticking with it.

The plot twist is very, very disturbing & distressing. This isn't a flame--I'm sure you intentionally set out for some major angst, and you have achieved it. Your words do an excellent job to paint a vivid picture, even though you are describing a completely dark room. It seems pretty clear that her captures were religious zealots, based on the previous chapter. I respect other people's beliefs and opinions, and I respectfully ask that you consider other people's beliefs, also. As a Christian, I always cringe when Christians are portrayed in a horrendous light. But the reality is, anything taken to extreme is going too far. It will certainly be interesting to see where Will and Spike take it from here-- I like Buffy's ponderings about if they think she's left them, and would they move on. I can't wait until she sees how fiercely protective they are of the ones they love! I think you know I'm a big fan of all of your works, so please consider my comments in light of that fact. Looking forward to reading the next chapter in this interesting twist which I didn't see coming. Hoping you'll also post more Haven soon. Cheers!

Author's Response: I always consider other's beliefes when I do anything. This isn't about christianity; it's about extermism and making judgments about others. It wouldn't exactly work if Buffy was kidnapped by Muslim extermists, ya know? And when people hate, they usually need to find something to justify their hate...because they know it's wrong.

i liked how you dealt with buffy's reaction at being abducted. this is a sad truth, but almost always the worst side of being kidnapped isn't the physical one... they can starve you, drug you, leave you alone in the dark for ages or even beat you. Still, nothing broken you as the certainty your loved ones have, somehow, forget you.
do u think i can love this chapter... and hate a little bit the author? really not much luv, i promise! ;D

Love the angst, love the plot!! A good story wouldn't be complete without a good touch of angst imo! Poor Buffy, I really felt bad for her, she must have been locked for days now, I wonder who did this, I bet this stupid Xander and her parents has something to do with it. I cant wait to see the next part. I dont hate you for this 'cliffhanger' but I will if you don't update soon lol (jk) ;) Great job on this chapter! Just a question about the plot, will the twins find her soon or will it be only in a few chapters ?
