So Buffy noticed.. when Spike writes, he writes for her. So Buffy wanted to know more and asked Anya. But even if Buffy thought she was worldlier she is a muse through and through. She doesn't care for a human like Buffy does. And Anya thinks that it is totally wrong? Now Buffy is acting like Anya said in her advice. (Well at last she knows too what they can do without breaking the virgin rule. I can understand that it makes Buffy said to think of Spike death. Anya made Buffy think again about her job.) But it doesn't make Buffy happy, the contrary. And now after Buffy choose to be all businesslike Spike is the one that is hurt / thinks he has taken advantage or her. And what did it bring, Anya's advice to be businesslike? Spike not writing. ~ But now Spike is going to go back. But when he is so devastated what will happen later when Buffy is gone?

Well, you know I love me a bit of angst to make the happy parts sweeter. So no complaints here on that score.

And I might be a pervert, but the part I kind of focused on during Anya's advice was where she said that Buffy would still be a virgin if she got...er...oral satisfaction from Spike. So if nothing else, that'll kee me going back for future chapters.

Buffy struggling with her calling, thinking her role as a muse is for the greater good is a good plot device to keep her away from Spike. It seems Buffy was looking for encouragement when she visited Anya, and she got the absolute opposite...Poor Spike, thinking he's somehow manipulated Buffy into a sexual liaison...

just a smidge of angst is good to move the story along. I mean we knew there would be something with her being a muse and him a mortal. There has to be some conflict and decisions to be made about what is going to happen. Awesome chapter. I can't wait for more.

So sad! And although I didn't like Anya's advice, I think it will be good for Buffy. This way she can sort of have a practice trial for what living without Spike would be. She will still see him, but they wouldn't be as close. Maybe that is all she needs in order to just give in so they can be happy. Very much looking forward to more.

Or maybe that's not quite a catch-22, but its damned close. Maybe Buffy could become some kind of muse martyr, giving up her muse-ness in order to truly inspire a great poet. Just a though, mostly because I wanted to use the phrase "muse-ness." And Anya, though being a champion of the job is expected, how odd for her to not be for all forms of orgasms. Love the oddness of that characterization. An interesting and appropriate change. I do hope they can overcome this bout of forced separation. Perhaps use it to clarify how much better they are together. I love it.

She got advice on LOVE from Anya? No don't get me wrong - I love Anya, but not for the type of advice she needed here (although the "sex" advice was great - Anya's strong point in any venue). Oh well. Sooner or later, Buffy is gonna figure out that Spike is worth giving up immortality for) My question to Anya would be, if human lives are so unworthy, why are muse's sent to them to help them achieve? I think Anya's a bit off base in her assessment of humans and I think Buffy is gonna figure this out and realize the humans are the ones with true purpose. More please.

Aw, this chapter is sad. Poor things. I feel sorry for Spike, of course, since he's not too sure what's going on with Buffy, but my heart is breaking for her. Here she has this eternal destiny, but now her heart is involved. It's so clear how much she loves him.

Beautiful as always, Addie. I hope they're able to work their feelings and emotions out.
