Muses are tricky devices, and with that said, not every story is meant to have a sappy romantic ending. Sometimes, it's better to just let the reader decide, and that opportunity is appreciated. A fun fic, thanks for sharing.

Loved the fic, although I agree that it does seem to end a little abruptly. But I really like the fact that you presented the chipless Spike's conflict. It is one thing to be restrained and even accept those restraints. It is another thing all together to restrain yourself. Just think of all those kids just off to college this fall! Anyway, great job, and hope you have a speedy and complete recovery.

First Buffy wasn't pleased with Giles killing Ben but she accepted. Ah Xander.. I'm glad neither Dawn nor Buffy did laugh at Spike. Ah yes.. that's right, Glory did take the chip out and he didn't tell yet. Buffy let herself get influenced by what Giles says. Now I wonder if Spike would have been in the position to kill Ben, would she have forgiven him so easy? Looking forward to what Spike will do.

Oh I'm glad the I was right and his was all a plan. Yeah, and Xander thinks the worst of Spike (twice). I hope Spike didn't get poisoned by Glory. ~ Loved the new chapter :)
