it really is fascinating that whenever you see people kissing, even if it is totally one-sided, you kinda assume there is some consensual action going on. Otherwise, one of them would make it clear that he/she is not interested right? So yeah, I can understand where buffy is coming from and I am not sure she has misinterpreted things. After all, how is she supposed to know Spike ended things with Dru?

And major turning points are always well worth a little bit of angst. After all, you have to grow from something. I do hope he catches her. Would be a shame for her to keep brooding. Loved the chapter and looking forward to the next!

2. Serious macking by the Spuffy.
3. Angel coming along and also getting decked/kneed in the balls.

I think it was smart to have them decide to stop to get to know one another better--you're right about it being important to build foundations, and Spike being the one to stop definitely made him much with the integrity! He's really a good guy, and he really cares about her, about keeping her. I love this fic!
