I really feel for both of them. Spike really is trying even if others will critisize his methods. He's scared. He needs support and encouragement or he'll have a harder time going through with this.

Wow! just read the last...um 5?... chapters - loved it! I've missed a ton of updates so i'll just say how fab I thought the last couple of chapters all were in one review.

Sooooo looking forward to seeing Cecily when the news gets out, it'll be so great when Spike leaves her and then she finds out it's over Buffy Summers & presumably her folks will be mad too? Won't look too good Spike leaving darling C for an average jane like B, especially with a baby involved I have a feeling C will end up coming off worse even if he loses his job.

I like the fact Spike is still finding out who he is like earlier in the show, it makes him more like a real person, it really takes time to change yourself and break old habits. Buffy's right to be confused over the situation though. With her feelings for him it would be better if he was out of her life right now, but i don't think anyone can actually justify keeping a child from their father because he has dubious morals and drinks too much. I'm not saying hand Brandon over lock&stock but a couple of visits won't hurt as much as an angry teenager 10yrs from now wanting to know why you kept them from their dad.

But ANYways, the general jist is the story totally rocks! keep up the great work!

So Spike is living in hell eh his marriage for five years now. Well it won't have started as hell but it got this way now. And he still is married to Cecily. No wonder that Buffy, from her position, asks some questions. So both (Buffy and Spike) were so attracted to one another that they didn't think. Yet Spike was the one who was lying. It takes some work to trust again if one was lied to. At last Buffy knows now that the feeling she had, the connection, was vice versa back then. We'll see how good Spike's (no, William's now) plan will work. ~ Faith talked to Buffy; wonder what she'll do. ~ Till next chapter!

This story is really a reflection of Spike's struggles in Season's 5 & 6, isn't it?

I'm such a hypocrite sometimes. I'm forever hating fanfic that has Spike and/or Buffy having affairs whilst still together, and my first reaction to this story was absolute loathing for the Spike character.... but, at some point one has to stop accusing people like William/Spike and take a step back to allow them the chance ro redeem themselves.

I'm packing my inner Xander away for this and putting on my Tara hat.

You know, I'm like a dog with a bone when I read a chapter of this story-- I just gotta have more, more more!!! Fabulous. Thank you. I like that both Buffy and Faith know there is something more there that makes her want Spike. I like how he's trying, too. Very nice. ;)

I 'm a little dense here, but I 'm guessing that the last conversation pretty much said that Faith and Buffy both realize that there is a mutual connection/attraction/something special and different between Buffy and Spike. OR did "sucker for romance Kimmie" just read WAY too much into that ????

One day at a time ... I hope that they get some sort of foundation of a relationship built so that they can handle TOGETHER the ramifications of Cecily being dumped for Buffy and Brandon.

I like the way that you are allowing them to take cheap shots at each other and then actually explain themselves ... that's gonna save a lot of $$$$ in therapy.

Ohhh Spike is thinking now. And even better, doing something; he's getting an apartment now. At least he's starting with something.. OH.. he is leaving her now? I wonder how Cecily will take that when Spike really goes through with it *hopes* Though no wonder Buffy didn't believe him first. He had nine month to change and didn't. But maybe she'll set some trust in him now. Abatement visiting now? Looking forward to the next part.

Okay, come on Buffy. Yeah, it's not totally believable after everything, but hey, it's a first step. It's small, but it's there. He's thinking things through, he setting priorities that include you and your son, his son. Dont' threaten him yet and he won't threaten you. It'll be an uphill climb for you, but it will be Mt Everest for him. Give him the crumbs he needs to keep climbing. More please. great tale.
