First review of this story - even though I love the angsty fanfiction: when children are involved, it's harder for me to enjoy it for some reason. Wasn't sure if I was going to keep reading, but at least you are showing Buffy knowing she has to be a good parent. Spike still doesn' care about anybody but himself and with that attitude, Buffy is right to keep him away. I'm not sure she should have told him to begin with - I mean for all she knows, Spike doesn't even remember her. Spike only showed that he cared about getting in her pants - he has not shown her any respect or regret for treating her like a whore....

Anyways, my first thought when Buffy finds out she is pregnant was that as little thought that Spike put into protection even with all of his one-night stands, there has got to be other children out there. That would be one of my first concerns if I were Buffy. How many more did he father and what he is doing for them?

It's official with this chapter - until Spike gets therapy for his anger and abuse of women (abuse doesn't have to be physical) I'm rooting for Doyle and Buffy getting together.

Wow. That was, simply put, amazing. She cut right to the heart of the matter, which was so important. Very good chapter. :)

ALRIGHT, you know me ... the angst wimp !!! But now I am hooked (dang it) So, I am also compelled to review because I love your stories and you are too cool.

I know Spike's just trying to see his kid, but Buffy's right, she is working on straightening out her life and doing everythign she can to give her son he best life possible. Not only should Spike have told her he was married to start with--well actually he shouldn't be married if you want to go that far back--but I think he needs to realise where she's comign from: he hasn't been truthful with her from the start and why should she think that he wouldn't tell Cecily...and he keeps saying how much power she and her family have s I think Buffy's right to fear what she could do to the baby.

I love Spike and Buffy in this fic but Spike's got to try at least to see whre Buffy's coming from...and try to not get mad and say whatever he wants--that doesn't get them far.....and maybe there's a way for Buffy to figure out how o make it so Spike can see the baby but---but I need to shut up now because I don't really know what I'm talking about, no do I?

All he wanted to do was see amd touch his son, he didn't want to take him away. She was somewhat out of line, if violence all she knows to repair a relationship. Some people can make through life without being slapped or hurting the other person. It was also her fault not checking to see if he was married, her friends were there, they could have said something. And really would have she stopped if she knew he was married, she alreay admitted to an affair with a married man. If so I feel sorry for the boy, even if she loves him, she'll show him the other side of the coin too often. I like the story, just both sides need to viewed.

Spike can't keep taking out his anger at himself and his
situation by striking out at all women. Not every woman is a bitch like Cecily.

He has a chance at a life and happiness if he can straighten up and grow a pair.

ooh, what started as such a sweet chapter, ended in chaos. spike really needs to grow a pair.

Way to go Buffy! Should have kicked him in the nuts for that comment. He should lose his Brandon privileges for a while, let him stew in the fucked up situation they are all in. I'm proud of Buffy for putting her foot down and telling Spike in no uncertain terms that he either has to clean up his life (including the pesky little wife problem) or he can no longer see his son. Great chapter, loved it! Can't wait for more.

Oh, and anytime a Radiohead son is used anywhere in a fic, I'm a happy Stephanie!!!!
