Loved the Buffy/Spike scene! I enjoyed Spike's conversation with Xander. Xander made a lot of good points, pity Spike doesn't listen to him. Fantastic chapter!

Looking forward to "Spike" ending the pity-party and growing a set of stones. Rather than lashing out at those who care for him, I wonder if he'll use their feedback to fuel some positive changes in his life.

maybe i'm a sadistic freak but i was rather pleased with buffy's not so gentle touch in the elevator. spike deserved every squeeze! lol. anyway, lots of agnst going on. LOVE IT! this is obviously a story that is going to have spike doing and saying some very stupid things. hope he can make up for them soon but not TOO soon. i'm still riding the 'spike's an ass' train at the moment and i'm not going to be surprised or upset if buffy stays on that same train for a few more chapters. lol . loved it though. i know this story is gonna have a happy ending but i'm looking forward to the wait. this one is gonna be good. post soon. Wow! Nice chapter. I especially liked the part where buffy grabbed spike balls. Ahhh, if only I could do that to every guy who ever fucked me over. lol

Having been taken in by a married man with the same exact sob story, I'm actually looking forward to reading how Buffy can make Spike suffer! Expecially after learning that Spike hurts other women on purpose to get back at his wife. How sick is that? My married man, when I found out he was married, said he couldn't leave his wife because he worked for his father-in-law and needed his job. I dumped him and am now happily married to a wonderful man. What I don't get yet about Spike is his "she'll end me" if I leave her. I mean can't he leave Boston where her family is well-known and move somewhere else to start over? This will probabky be expained later in the story - just typing and thinking on the fly.

Oh no.. what a mean trick, going out hunting women without his ring; and Spike was on the hunt this weekend because his wife was gone. A regularly cheater then; married to money and misery according Buffy, so to say. ~ That's what Spike brought to the place where he is now and why he does it. And now, when Buffy is back, he wants to be the man she needs, to be worthy of her. Too bad he is married. Buffy has at last the intension now to stay away. ~ I wonder where you'll take this one. .. but I'll see, sooner or later.

I get Spike, I really do, I get his reasons and why he feels the way he does, and why he does the things he does, but I'm sticking with Buffy on this one.

If he really thought Buffy Summers, perfect when he first saw her, then he could of at least been a bit more honest with her about the life he leads. But then again, where would the angst be if he did, lol..
