So a hard decision for Buffy ahead because Faith isn't an option: Will she go and maybe endanger Spike or will she stay and endanger Angel? Or let Illyria go on her own.
Ah Illyria thinks that she will go herself, alone if she has to and Buffy stays with Spike. Seems she is guessing something too what Buffy did. And she told her the reason (Spike's thoughts) why he didn't came looking for her when she was back. Spike and her still have to talk about that.

Good to see that Xander has changed now; Anya did help (loosing her) I think.

I'm really enjoying how the plot is thickening. Buffy's talk with Illyria was wonderful, loved the moment when reality slammed Buffy in the face and she realized she was no better than Illyria. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Great chapter!

I guess Giles would forbid Buffy to feed Spike slayer blood if she would ask. But Buffy had a plan and did go though with it. Seems as if it worked!

Oh it seems as if Giles didn't know that Spike was with Angel for some time before, un-live again so to say but he sisn't tell Buffy for five days that Spike was in England, not conscious. ~ And Giles didn't allow Willow to make a 'mind-trip' because he is a vampire. Yet he forgot: Spike is no normal vampire, he got his soul back and suffered for it. ~ *on to the next chapter*
Author's Response: True, Spike has a soul now, but Giles knows that his memories are still filled with all the killing and mayhem from his soulless days. So even though he's overcome his past, his head can still be a pretty traumatic place to be. It's a testimony to Spike's strength of character that he deals with it so well, yes? Good thoughts! *waves hello* I didn't have time to catch up with this one but I'll start reading now. I only read the synopsis so far and this sounds good :)
So Spike's fate is unknown by now.. it doesn't sound good. ~ And Buffy got a summons from Giles and know she's leaving, leaving Dawn and Andrew behind (no Immortal then?). And Xander is hiding something.
Loved Xander's shortcut of the story. And Buffy's thoughts between the dialog. ~ Loved the first chapter, on to the next.
