This is a clever premise, and I'm delighted to find it continued here from Seasonal Spuffy. Buffy meeting up with Faith and the rest was a surprise. I hope Angel's absence means there's someone on the outside looking for this group. Faith having been incarcerated for 8 months shows no one was looking very hard for her. Angel would have kept tabs on Connor, especially after an apocalypse. The image of a mummified Spike is chilling, and I wonder why Illyria hasn't just pulled him out of the cage, put him under her arm and bolted through a wall. The arrival of the Arch Duke highlights that not everything is as it seems.

Wow, what a powerful volley to start with. The imagery you drew of Spike in the Iron Maiden was creepy and shocking. Just from the first chapter, I can see it will become one of my favorite stories. I hope this will be a story of length, not brevity.
