Excellent update. As to your being nagged for updates, I think it's time some people sit back and remember that you are taking time out of your personal life to write for out pleasure, and that you are not financially being reimbursed for it. I for one am very thankful that you take the time to do such great writing for us and our reviews are your payment. Keep up the good work when you can.

Moving on to the important part: I thought this chapter was great! It told us a lot about just why Buffy stayed with Liam, even though he cheats and abuses her. And it shows what a bastard he truly is: he had to have known she wouldn't read it in detail when she signed it. Plus, she probably didn't have any idea that she would stray from their marriage as well; he didn't need that to ensure her loyalty. What a jerk.

I think it will be great to see how Spike tries to find them a way out of this. Will you reveal just how much Buffy owes Liam?

I'm glad Buffy was honest with him - I expected her to keep her secret a while longer. And I'm so very glad that it wasn't "just about the money". Glad that Buffy isn't that shallow. And her confession: I am his whore. She's so pitiful I just ache for her.
This Spike and Buffy are connected in ways I haven't seen in other incarnations. Liam's abuse seems to have bonded them together very quickly, and *strongly*. I'm afraid for the two of them. Liam is sinister and when he finds out... *shudder*.
So, anyways - thanks for the update. (And such a sweet one too - with Spike carrying her to the tub and all.) And while you're trying to do so much just remeber those of us who've read your work for *years* (and I'm talkin' waaaay back to your Romy-writin' days) appreciate every syllable of your fics. And we'll still be here no matter how long you need between update. Take it easy, girl!

I really liked this chapter- We see at last what's keeping Buffy with Liam.

I hope they can solve this problem soon in the future, and that they can be happy and away from Liam.

So glad they cleared the air about the first time. They both needed that. Really good chapter! =)

The attention to detail in Spike's encounter with Drusilla made that emotionally devastating scene vivid. The drinking explains Spike's openness on the telephone. I was away from the computer for over a week, and it's lovely to have another chapter to read right away!

They're being honest with each other, but Buffy can't pretend that Liam doesn't exist-- he's very real, and very influential in both of their lives. I can see things getting very bad in the future if they don't take action now!!! :P Can't wait for more, always good to have an update-- I was especially glad to have their "first time" (the first one :P) get cleared up. :) Update soon!

you know, honestly i hate angst. mostly because people have a horrible tendency to put in so much drama it's a soap opera. like someone dies from a heart attack and then someone else is on drugs, and everyone is bloody depressed. this story however, is so realistic that you can really see it happeeing in everyday life. especially since there no way anyone could resist spike xD. keep up the good work, i hope to read more in the future.
