Excellent chapter. Buffy was absolutely brutal to William, and Angel seems positively devilish at the end. Will wait patiently for the New Year!

Poor Will. All the poor kid has ever wanted is a little love and affection from someone- anyone, even. And the tone when he was telling her it was his first time: heartbreaking. I want to scream at Buffy for being such a bitch, but the reality is, I can't blame her. She's scared, and apparently Liam has something on her that she doesn't want known. She's acting in her own self interest, and as much as I hate to stereotype people in their early twenties (and I am one), girls her age do that sometimes.

God, she was harsh and cruel. Way beyond what was necessary to get the point across. For a first-timer, he'd be shattered from all that even if he hadn't cared for her! Buffy deserves her fate, and yeah, William should get as far away as possible from all of them.

I just hope he doesn't get himself in trouble out there. Poor boy...

I totally understand your need for a break but I hope it is not for too long *wink*. I know Buffy thinks what she said to William was right but I am really angry with her right now. How can she hurt poor Will that way? I assume this is the turning point in which Will transforms into Spike. 2007 here we come!

Saw your A/N. I try to write Liam all the time but I didn't eh.. draw the line on the dots(?) and saw Angelus. But that's right, that is more his character than Angel.
So Buffy was all on her own before (that's right, Liam was at work and ehe was sunbathing, alone). I didn't think she was lonely but indeed, she was alone. And she noticed herself that Liam treats her as a trophy wife, look there. And drunken Buffy told the truth.. Liam must be pissed off now. I wonder what consequences he'll make out of (because of) it. I don't count the hitting (well I hope it won't continue but we'll see).
Ahhhhh I wondered how it would happen the first time, William and Buffy. It was Liam's fault, he drove Buffy away.
