i love all of your work so you know i don't mind leaving a review!!!!! great job. i wonder how long it'll be before buffy and william give into whatever it is they're feeling for one another? and more importantly how long it'll be before angel finds out. this is gonna get heavy isn't it?? not that i'm complaining cuz heavy angst is what makes the ending worth it. angel really freaked me out in this chapter. i mean, in other fics he's been mean and stuff but in this story it was actually believable. he gave me chills.

anyway, i'm rambling again. lol. loved it sooo much and i hope you don't leave us waiting too long for another update but i know it'll be worth the wait if you do.

When you asked us for our thoughts, I decided the best way to let you know how I felt about where the fic and been and where I think it could go was to go back to the beginning and re-read the first eight chapters. Maybe something will spark you.

-You said in earlier chapters that Buffy's life had been somewhat hellish prior to her marriage to Liam. While being a Peppermint Stick dancer is certainly not the best thing one could be doing, I got the impression that it was more than that. Maybe you could explore Buffy's past and use it as a way to make more common ground between Buffy and William?

-In the author's notes on the first chapters, buried among the angst warnings, you said something about Spike/Other. From that I assume you are planning to have William make the transition to Spike. Are you planning on having Drusilla or another female character bring that about?

-I really like the two-stepping Liam is doing with William and Buffy- threatening William, but making it seem like he's really trying to Buffy. Don't get me wrong, no one likes Liam threatening our Spike, especially when he's a sweet kid, but I think it's good that Liam is actively being an ass and making us do things to hate him. I would like to see Buffy walk in on him threatening William, or have some way where she figures out what's going on, and have her come to William's rescue, or something to get Liam out of the picture and work towards a Spuffy ending.

That's all I have right now, but hopefully someone says something that will inspire you to conquer this apathy. I understand writer apathy completely. I've never written fan fiction (I'm always afraid I'll butcher the characters and everyone will hate it), but I have posted some original work on other websites as WIP's, only to get stuck with apathy. I was actually just discussing my writer apathy with someone today, so I found it ironic. No one wants to see this story go on an extended hiatus, but if it happens, I understand. Whenever it comes back, I will read eagerly.

I think Buffy is completely in denial, she can see what Angel is capable of, any man who alienates his own son, has serious issues. I think Buffy sees a little of herself in William, but I think she also likes, that with him, unlike other areas of her life, she is in control. However, if her feelings grow for him I think she will again lose whatever control she had, because as we all know ,you cant conrol love. I really like this story and hope you can find your insiration, and of corse time to write.

Hey Addie, Love this story,but then I like all of your stories(grin). Now........about this one. Where do I see it going? Well; William strikes me as someone who has been physically abused by Liam possibly sexually as well. As far as Liam's business dealings go; I'd surmise that they're not on the up and up. Probably mafia related,something unerhanded at any rate; he doesn't strike me as someone who gets ahead by hard work and fairplay. Now.........about Miss Buffy and Will...she's so gonna do him..(smirk)but I see it happening in a hurt/comfort scenerio, possibly with our favourite duo on the run from Liam because he's stepped up the abuse with both of them.. we could see a variety of characters, yeah? Buffy was an exotic dancer eh? I'm sure she knows many a colourful individual........and the saga continues ::))...........Is this what you had in mind ? I like this story so far. As far as where I could envision seeing it go is a lil shaky for me, cause this could go in a thousand different ways...

one: Liam finally lets loose (physically) on Buffy or William and the other gets the courage to either report him or leave him. In this scenario, I think it would probably be more effective if it were William, cause Buffy is still seeing Liam with rose colored glasses, and seeing as this boy doesn't leave the house, there is no way she would not believe Will, especially with her doubts about Liam already planted.

two: William does leave the house once in a while and meets someone. But this is a lil shaky cause I feel weird about bringing in another character, though minor, and have Will or Buffy and practically using that person to get the other jealous..maybe not all out, but the plot device is there...I don't know exactly where or how deep to go with this one, cause it is spuffy here.

three: all three make through this period of time intact, with William going home or college, and Buffy and Liam staying together, and after some time (year or 2) Will comes back more mature and more able to stand up to Liam...in the process becoming a strong human being for Buffy, and show her that she doesn't need Liam to old her up.

these are just a few places I think the story could go, but I know your way is better cause I have read your work and your amazing. I also just realised you weren't really asking for suggestions...so sorry about that...lol. But if they help you out at all, then all the better.

Good like with your dissertation, and don't worry, life comes first, but Spuffy will always be here.

Mmm they do both know that something is going on between them but they try to fight it. Good intentions.. I wonder how long they'll be able to do it :)
And Liam has a bad timing.. picking that evening for being home. I don't think he noticed something going on when Buffy and Spike doesn't know it yet. Well no Prince Charming, that's right. Looking forward to more when you're back :)

And Liam's true colors are out in full force. Poor Buffy and William. Can't wait to see what happens next.
