I fail to understand why so many people think crudity is 'hot'.

This is not erotic it is simply poorly punctuated, badly-written vulgarity. If you spent a little more time on your writing and a little less time trying to cram in as many crude terms as you possibly could it MIGHT have stood a chance of being a decent fic.

Well done. You mixed all the elements just right: the passion, hate, passion, struggle, passion, dominance, passion, submission, passion - with the slightest touch of tenderness that ultimately retreats as she falls asleep, and the wide-awake Spike, stunned by the rapture and the overnight events, and fearful of knowing that it could be all downhill from here. Before, hope sort of sprung eternal; now, he'd reached that peak. Was she going to topple his dreams?

I love the Yeats poem. Spike whispers this heartfelt entreaty and here is the man reacting to the woman. Unfortunately, as we all know, it is that crude, unnecessary comment from the vampire to the slayer, that he utters a few hours later, which causes Buffy to do her worst. "Convenient" is the word she uses to tread on Spike's dream, followed up with slugging him in the mouth and leaving him behind.

A great piece, the tone very reminiscent of the scenes from Smashed and Wrecked. Thanks!
