Loved to read the chapter. You captured the emotions so well. First William standing up for Buffy against Harmony. Good to see William was so thoughtful to take some pictures of Lilly (and Buffy with Lilly). It's sad to know that Lilly won't have a chance.
The non italic part at the end of the chapter? It sounds as if Lilly has died and Buffy didn't take it well.
But I loved the chapter anyway even if it was sad (to think the baby doesn't have a chance).

You're really capturing the melancholy mood here. The first chapter started out so optimistically, happy William saving lives and joking with the nurses. The scene in the courtyard was haunting and turned the mood around beautifully. I like the premise, and you're handling it well so far. I'm looking forward to how you develop the characters and expand the storyline.

Wow. It's so sad! Poor Buffy. Loved this chapter--it's nice to know a little bit of the background of her and her baby. Loved it! Especially the part where he tells Harmony off! (also, I had Chasing Cars stuck in my head all day, and then I opened this chapter, and there it was! I think it must have been a a sign :-)
can't wait for more!!!

So heartbreakingly sad :( But I love the tale you're spinning here. I so loved Spike putting Harmony in her place like that lol..I think i would have cried too lol.

Author's Response: I know right! That was basically everything I would have loved to have said to Harmony during season 5 of Angel :-) Yup...that's fanfic for me...working out my agression towards some of the characters lol.

Duh.. found your site (and your LJ but you're F-Only but I see you don't post the story there) and I remember now that I saw your story (Here without you) at Spuffyfantasy.. *cough it is still on my to read list*
But now to the new one:
I like Spike being a doctor, precisely a Pediatric Heart Surgeon.
And then the first meeting between William and Elizabeth. The thought that Buffy's baby is about to die (why by the way? But I think it will be revealed later) makes me sad. No mother (parents) should have to suffer this. *sniff* And even if it is dangerous to be outside in the rain with a baby for said baby, I love the thought why she is doing it for Lilly. A very sad begin but a very moving chapter. Looking forward to read more of it. So more please :)

Seriously, I had no idea you wrote fanfic. I am absolutely loving this so far. I read a lot of fiction, and this is unlike anything I've ever read before. Can't wait to read more.
