So it was indeed a set-up of Spike for Buffy's sake. Well Spike is running that tells how good he took it.
And Buffy can understand Joy just as good as Spike does. Wonder what makes the difference, her being 'close to Spike'? Because it can't be a slayers thing.
Anne was there.. and she has a point for Angel not taking a phone and trying to call.
Your Kar-Hool is an interesting character. Cute how he played with the children and yet dangerous if his clan is in danger. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Spike telling his 'truth' was for Dawns benifit. But Joy set it up so that Buffy could hear Spikes 'truth' too. Yeah, Spike didn't handle it to well, he didn't want Buffy to know his 'truth'. There were probably a lot of things that Angel could have done, should have done, but didn't do.

WOW...MUSTVE BEEN A REAL BIG DEMON, well atleast all thts covered up...at first i thought the roaring was Spike throwing a tantrum LOL. I hope he works things out wiv Dawn, and Buffy. Erm is there going to be more about Joy and Spike AND Dawn, Faith and Buffy cuz there lyk one big fam. Faith n Buffy being sister slayers. oh well write more plyz!!.

This Spike seems to run away from a lot of things. What is it that he's done by letting her know, aside from really give her something to blame herself for? Poor Buffy. Where can they possibly go from there? Powerful chapter. I bet Joy has something to do with all this. Hope she talks to Buffy. Please, update soon.

Author's Response: Joy has everything to do with what happened, she set it up. Buffy needed to hear Spikes view of their past relationship, but Joy knew that Spike could never tell Buffy directly. Actually, Spike doesn't run away from hardly anything. But Buffy, having her near, messes with his head and heart, he's reacting on any emotional level without thinking clearly. (Glad your still liking the story!) ;)

Holy crap! Loved the meeting with Giles, and Andrew, and Angel, but with Buffy. How can he still think anything remotely like that. What has happened to our poor hero? And Joy, she knows, I'm glad she knows. Poor Buffy.

Author's Response: Spike has spent the past 7 years telling himself that Buffy doesn't love him, that she has moved on with her life. That the only way for him to help make her happy was to stay out of her life. Now, to hear that Buffy missed him and loves him, he's a bit confused and over reacting.

wtf??? he's already not trusting of everyone, and they decide that to find the truth that they should trick him??!! oh man, i cant wait to see what happens..seems like they broke a moment, and it was meant for Dawn and Joy to hear, not the whoke entire group! grrrr!! anyways, cant wait to see what comes next! pls update soon!

Author's Response: It's OK, really. ;) Dawn, Buffy and Joy were the only ones to hear Spikes confession. Joy gave Buffy a charm to hide her presence in the room. Everyone else was upstairs in the warehouse, they didn't hear Spike.

So typical of Angel... making it all about him in light of these big events. I do wonder what Spike really does think about him being back and what Angels influence did have on Spike avoiding Buffy. Angel may be a bit self centered but he's sure not wrong.

Author's Response: Angel did have 'something' to do with Spike never contacting Buffy. He fed Spikes self-doubts and insecurities. After years of repressing his feelings for Buffy, Spike is afraid to feel that kind of love again. :)

Ah, don't remind me of the seven years. Too sad to think about it.
Told I read a bit more after the last chapter. It first didn't feel like it gets better because Spike is trying to run, to find a new location too.
Where did Buffy go? She was with Dawn and Joy before, being / feeling devastated. And now there is only Dawn, nearly having a break down. No, she did break down crying.
At last Spike said to Dawn he loves Buffy. But why does he think she doesn't love him?
Good written Spike POV. But I think he was wrong.. about Buffy still loving Angel, about choosing Spike to die. But it is Buffy's turn to tell him that.
Was Buffy there the whole time? But when, then she was crying and Spike didn't hear her. Or did he cry too loud? And there is Spike, running again.....

Author's Response: Joy worked her mental magic to get Buffy alone. Then set it up for Buffy to listen and hide her presence and everyone else too. She then brought Dawn to the room and called out to Spike to come help her. Spike might be wrong, but it's in his mind that way.

Author's Response: Spike will be okay once he knows that Joy did it and why. Spike and Buffy have a hard time communicating with each other. Joy was trying to help Buffy see her past from Spikes eyes.

Author's Response: The setup was between Joy and Buffy. Dawn didn't know she was there. No one else but Joy was in the room. Joy made a magic charm to hide the presence of Buffy and everyone else from Spike but Joy.

I am crying, this was so good. I like Spike being able to stand on his own. I want him with Buffy, of course, but it's good to see him strong too. I know that he's hurt here, and I don't mean to say that hurt=strong, but I want the abuse by Buffy stage of their relatuionship to be over. Great job, very emotional, it worked. I loved it.

What the hell is wrong with Spike?!?!?! Loved the scenes with Andrew, Giles and Angel, but this thing with Buffy is driving me nuts! Even if he doesn't love her anymore, does he have to be so goddamn cruel about it???

So they went all to the warehouse... yet things are different. No Spike to great them yet.
I thought first he was upset to see Buffy but it was Angel.
With Angel he made his peace, but Buffy *sniff*
I don't think he knows how deep he has hurt her now. Again not believing her, not wanting her.
*steals away to then next chapter for a mo*

Author's Response: Spike doesn't want to hurt Buffy, but he is afraid to believe her. :( For 7 years he's told himself that she doesn't love him, now she says she does??? Confused Spike. ;)
