I think I forgot to say you: Congratulations!
I don't think though that Spike needs to fear that he can't love with his heart so full of feelings for Buffy. With Buffy he could learn it.
Oh but it seems it's more than he can handle, huh? Distancing himself from Buffy again.
If Buffy had waited for Spike to make a move in which direction however she would have had to wait; good she went to ask him what was wrong.
Loved their talk; I hope Spike won't try to 'run' again like he did before (even if it was more about his struggling what Buffy said to him).

This fic is so carefully constructed that I feel like I could peel away each layer. It's wonderful to read something that has been so carefully and lovingly put together. There are so many things working against Buffy and Spike here - so many problems they've yet to even acknowledge, let alone face down. And they are so easy to love. They're just so flawed and human.
I always look forward to your updates. And this one was a doozy.I can't wait to see what happens next!

Eeee!!! I'm so happy you updated! Heehee, I'm glad that James served as a bit of a fountain of inspiration and that we managed not to scare you away!

As for the story, good God this is angsty! I love it! And I agree that they have a *lot* to work through before any of the tension is diminished. I'm totally enjoying this story and I do hope we'll be seeing more in the near future. :o)

Damn, girl...I just got thorugh reading it from beginning to end......will be interesting to see where you go here. I'm sure age of consent in Nevada is 16.....and he didn't take her over state line.....not it would be interesting if Cordy can pull some strings with the powerful Senator that might have a bit more clout than ole Hank Summers...hmmmm.....I wish I ran Wolfman and Hart.....I'd sit old Hank down and have a heart to heartless talk him about leaving Buffy where's she's at. Longer than a month :) But worth waiting.
So Buffy decided to tell Faith. I hope that was a good decision. At last they'll have a cop on their side. But what may come that isn't good. Hank has an advantage.
Loved that Spike tried to convince Buffy not to give up.
Ah.. Buffy is just too jealous to think straight. That gets in her way when she talks to Spike (so him telling he told Faith everything = and not her, that caused that in the first place now. But maybe Spike assuring her he would tell her everything too did help.
Uh-huh... I don't think Spike did expect Buffy to tell him she loves him. Looking forward to more, what he'll make of it. If he dares to speak of that to Buffy. She was sleeping anyway. We'll see.
