Hmmn, reading over some of your reviews for this chapter I felt there was some...er...um...quibbling about Spikes reaction to Buffy's vanishing. Let me put it this way - When my daughter was about 3 years old she ran out in front of an ice cream truck; I was so stunned by the looming possibilty that she could have been hurt (or worse), that my first reaction was to swat her butt! (1 of 2 swattings she ever recieved), and then hug her to me and cry until she gasped for breath. I feel that Spike's reaction was not only understandable (I mean Buffy has by this point begun to open his emotional doors!), but also true in every sense to his character. I love the developing character of Anya, she's savvy and confident. I'm hoping that she will be there for Buffy during times of turmoil, I think she has the makings of a very good friend. ::Pouts, thinks Jae should have had Spike say "...never be JUST friends...":: ::Lobs another rose at Jae!::

For the record, I love the Buffy series and think Joss is a genius.

I was talking on yahoo and discovered that an online friend was excited to tell me about her daughters fan fiction. I think I'm supposed to say that mommason recommended your story. I loved this story and the little personality traits still in each of the characters...it was fun to live through them again. Though I I did feel that Buffy and Spike were moving a bit fast for the week or so they'd been together. I do have a question about why Buffy's father kept calling her Elizabeth. It had me confused every time. You are an imaginative story teller and I look forward to you maybe writing something totally from your creation.

I enjoyed the Buffy/Angel scene... lol! And the Spuffy lovin' was smoking hot, it was a shame Spike's lie was troubling Buffy though. Can't wait to learn more about the detective. Great chapter! ~ Loved the pretty banner! :D
