Author's Response: Well, actually, 16 is the age of consent in Nevada. But...not only is it still quite taboo, there could be legal issues because she's a 'runaway' and technically a resident of California. And Angel...well, I kinda like Angel, so I wasn't going to make him into the bad guy...already got enough of those. Besides, he seems way more occupied with women his wn age. lol And absolutely, I will keep you posted! Thanks for reviewing!

Awe, but it was sweet of Spike to buy the bed for Buffy she wanted. I see.. her dad made her believe she's not worth the money spend for her.
Buffy cares so she says... but if she waits for Spike to say it first I wonder if she will tell him at all how she feels = I think it will take some time :)
Hehe and Angel still has problems with his women? Poor one *gg* They enjoy their revenge I guess. Not everybody is open for sharing like Angel does.
Uh-huh.. Cops? That doesn't sound good. Indeed.. there was a lurker? Bad news. It sounds like a bit coincidence if it isn't for Buffy but who knows.
And Spike didn't tell her, being overprotective. But it's maybe better if he knows first if it was for Buffy (the lurker). Sounds like a private detective. But he has to tell Buffy soon if he knows more or he'll piss her off.

I love the way you are developing the relatioship beyond the obvious chemistry. Buffy's overly acquiescent behaviour and Spike's consequent concern is pitched just right.

Hm. Have you read Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer? The only reason I'm asking is because I noticed that name "Sam Carlisle"... which is the combo of Carlisle Cullen and Sam Something-or-another from that novel and was like *OMG SQUEAL!* because Twilight was le shit.

Man, I'm out of chapters now. I just stayed up until 3 in the morning reading this story. I've been debating about whether or not I should read it, but I love your other two stories and decided to give it a chance. I have to say that I'm really glad I did. I love it and the relationship between Buffy and Spike is very hot. I don't even really pay attention to the age difference. She does seem older, anyway. I am worried about what will happen when her father finally finds her, but I'm sure Spike won't let anything happen to her. I also friended you in LJ, hope you don't mind. Can't wait for more=)
